"Indigo Solace, I hate to do this in the middle of the school year, but we've given you many different chances. You've done nothing, but use your powers over and over again to do evil instead of good" the school's headmaster lectured on and on. I just nodded my head along to their words as she spoke. I wished she'd just send me off to do my thing or kick me out of this captured school.
"You just don't know how I study and train my powers" I sassed her
"A villainous quirk like yours is not welcome in a school for heroes" She sternly told me. I narrowed my eyes into a glare at her
"I am not a villain"
"Oh, you're not? You raised an army of skeletons to prey on your trainer!"
"He told me I was a no-good villain like my father" I growled out
"You attacked the chef for serving you food!"
"That cook told me I should be the one begging for her job!"
"It doesn't mean you can just summon things to randomly go and attack others!" She sighed and rubbed her face. "You are expelled and need to get out"
"And go where? I don't have anywhere"
"Train your powers then" She commented as I growled and stormed out. I shoved all the other students out of the way. Gathering my stuff before making my way out of the stupid school.
That was years ago and it still angers me to this day. Since then though I've mastered my powers and trained myself not only how to blend in, but how to survive. It wasn't so bad being on my own, but it did get quite lonely. That was until I met another who was cast away from society.
He was just a small child. It looked like he was only about ten or so. Just an average-height little boy with freckles covering his skin. The cold winter hair air pushed around his ginger hair. I moved closer to him to get a better look. Staying hidden in the background I watched him as he what looked like levitated an apple out of a person's grocery bag.
Making my way over I placed a hand on his shoulder. He looked at me teeth still in the apple as he finished taking the big bite. His green eyes met mine as he looked confused.
"Hello there little one. I'm indigo. What's your name?"
"...." The boy stayed silent before deciding to answer "Lyric...Lyric Nelson" He finally said as I paused trying to stay calm
"Lyric Nelson? As in the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson the pro heroes?" I asked looking at him. He nodded slightly.
"More like the corrupted pro heroes" He sassed causing me to chuckle
"Not a fan Huh?"
"No" He grumbled out and crossed his arms. "All they care about is how much money and fame they get from partners or villains"
"Ah, I see. Guess I'm not the only one who has seen how corrupted the hero world is"
"You too?"
"Mhm" I hummed out "I went to a pro hero school" He looked at me worried "Don't worry I'm going to keep you safe" With that promise I intended to keep it. As the years went by I was his mentor and helped him use his powers. He became a very well-known villain as time went on.
