Hi! I'm Y/N, I'm basically half fox, I have magic and have the tail of a fox. My parents died a few years back and I've gone through a few foster homes, pets weren't really allowed but my pet dragon, Spark, didn't leave my side so she got to stay. This one though is by far the worst! I'm basically a maid to this disgusting couple. Guess that just makes them perfect for eachother, anyway when ever a did one tiny thing wrong they would hit me and send me to the room I stayed in. This very day they took me out on a boat and left me on a island.
"Ahoy there!" An old man yelled from an old row boat
"A-Ahoy, there?" I yelled back a little confused
The row boat pulled onto the shore and the man stepped out
"My name is Nereus, what about you?" He asked ignoring the tail that was on my lower back
"Y/N L/N, sir" I replied bowing slightly, considering this man was showing kindness to me
"Oh no need to bow, uh if you don't mind me asking, how did you get here?" Nereus asked
"My foster parents" I replied coldly, glaring in the direction the 'demons' went
"Ah I see. Well I'm headed to a nice little town in Greenland care to join me?" He asked
"What do I have to loose" I say shrugging and getting into the row boat after the old man
After getting to Greenland
Nereus and I talked a bit, and although he waas very mysterious I grew to trust this man
When Nereus and I got to the docks he rounded me about the back of a wooden cabin, after observing for a while I decided he was either waiting for someone or trying to find the right time to make an entrance
"Alright what are we doing back here, are you waiting for someone or making a surprise entrance?" I asked him
"Hmmm, maybe a bit of both" Nereus said smirking
I facepalmed and mumbled: "Of course"
After a while Nereus signaled for me to follow behind him
When we got into earshot of the fishermen I heard one say
"Hah, there's no such thing as sea monsters"
"I saw it! I was young but I saw that beast as clear as day," Nereus said swinging his cane as we walked onto the wood planks
I gave Nereus a look as if to say 'You could have filled me in old man' before he continued speaking
"It could swallow your boat whole, Here be Dragons boy"
I grabbed my bag and kept it to my side, I had told Nereus about Spark and was wondering if he was just another sales person or whatever they were called, and just wanted to sell Spark to the highest bidder, my tailed swayed displeased at this but I had to hide it quickly
"There's no such thing" The guy deadpanned, aftese that I realized they were talking about the monsters sighting and calmed down a bit
'There's no changing this guys mind' I thought
"Oh, then why aren't you on your boat, boy. Why are you still arguing if the, fishings good" Nereus said
'Nereus is probably just as stuburn'
"You're right, I'm going out. You superstitious lot can stay here and stay poor, I'm coming back with enough fish for the whole-AGHHHH!!! " The fisherman screamed as a submarine surfaced
The man ran towards Nereus and me and clung onto Nereus like a lost boy
"Ehhh... What are you doing, boy?" Nereus asked
