We are in awe of the beauty of the world
We sing of its beautiful mountains and dream of walking the rocky terrains of valleys
We long to hear the music of Mother Earth in her natural habitat
We pride it in ourselves to show everyone of her capabilityYet we are taught to shame the mountains and valleys of a woman's body
When we try to sing of its beauty, we are silenced immediately
When we choose to be mothers, we are confined to this label, unable to show our capabilities
When we refuse to be mothers, we are humiliated and scolded for not fulfilling our dutyWe are told our bodies are sacred temples
But the moment we praise and celebrate its divinity
We are told to quiet down
Told off in disgust that we are immoralWe choose to scream the beauties of everything on this world except that of a woman
We are silenced, covered, refused and declined
We are placed in cages to restrict us from growing and blooming
When our branches grow astray, we are chopped down—shamed for being proud
