She's beautiful. So fucking beautiful.
Objectively speaking, of course.
Camila von Ascheberg, future Queen of Eldorra. And one of my best friends since like ever.
Our moms are friends and if Aunt Bridget (current Queen of Eldorra) wouldn't have been Queen, Camila and I would have probably spent every possible second together.
It doesn't really make any sense since we're total opposites, but I suppose that's why we work. Or at least did.
While we spent as much time as possible together in our childhood, we grew a little apart during high school. We are still close, just not as close as we used to be.
It's Camila's 18th birthday party today, which is why we are all in Eldorra. And with all of us, I mean my dad, Alex Volkov, my mother Ava Volkov, my twin sister Sofia, my aunts, Jules Ambrose and Stella Alonso, their husbands, Josh Chen and Christian Harper, Stella's daughter Dahlia and a bunch of family friends, like the Russo's, the Young's, the Davenport's and the Kensington family.
So, we're a really big amount of people. Which isn't always bad (you always find someone who can help you) but also not always good (we're 23 people for gods sake!).
I am currently sitting at the bar along with Henry von Ascheberg, Camila's cousin, Theo Young and Liam Russo, looking over the crowd. My eyes, however are fixated on Camila and her pink dress.
I hated it when she wore pink. It made her seem like some fairytale princess and not like my Camila. She also looked absolutely stunning in pink. The slit on her side didn't really help the situation.
What did help, was Uncle Rhys, Camila's father and ex navy, showing up next to her. Even though I know that he would kill someone for me and wouldn't dare to hurt me, he still scares the shit out of me. Especially around his daughter.
"How's your sister?" Henry asks. He tries to sound casual, but I know he likes her. Not the first and surely not the last.
"She's right over there, why don't you go over and ask her?" I answer in a bored tone. Sofia can handle her male attention much better than I would have thought and I can't even begin to think about all the things she would say to him. We both know that she would crush him, so I don't need to worry about him.
"You know she doesn't like me." he says, sipping his beer.
"I wonder why." I joke, still watching Camila.
"What about you? Are finally gonna have the balls to actually talk to her or are you just gonna stare at her all night again?" he throws back. Liam chuckles. Traitor.
"Shut up." I murmur under my breath.
"Niki, come dance with me!" Dahlia saves me by running up to me, only to pull me with her onto the dancefloor. Dahlia is about one head smaller than me and also three years younger, but she has the will and therefore the power to get what she wants.
Not that I would ever say no to her, she's like my little sister.
"You look pretty." I say while swirling her around.
"I know." she says with a proud face. "Took me long enough, with this hair." She didn't just inherit her mothers beauty but also her hair which is heavily curled and very hard to tame.
------
After an hour of dancing with Dahlia, she gets bored and rushes off somewhere else. I scan the room for something to do or someone to talk to when I spot pink. Camila.
Before I can change my mind, I follow her upstairs. I don't know where she's going, but I don't care. I would follow her everywhere.

FanfictionThis is a next generation fancfiction of the twisted series by Ana Huang. I do NOT own any of her characters, I do however own my OC's. This book is about the love story between Niko Volkov and Camila von Ascheberg (yes, our golden couple).
