Chapter 1: This Deal We Made
"What is it now Stolas?" Blitzo groaned, pinching his temples as he followed Stolas to the balcony of his mansion.
All the avian did was sigh, resting his arms on the concrete railings.
The imp didn't dare to say anything else, his gaze softening slightly as he looked at the prince. Stolas knew nothing of Blitz's rough past, his emotional trauma or his feeling. Similarly, Blitz knew nothing of the Prince and yet he felt something was amiss.
"Blitzy..." Stolas motioned for Blitzo to come closer. He did just that. He stepped closer, and closer, until he was side by side with Stolas. "I think I've held on to you for too long."
Stolas' voice was firm and yet wavered as he said it, almost as if he didn't want to say it.
Reluctantly, the avian pulled out the crystal made into a necklace, it glimmered in the moonlight. The pink stone reflected the moonlight with such beauty.
A sad chuckle came from the taller one. "These crystals were hard to get, they will help you access the human world without my griamoire." He held it out to Blitzo, the silver chain clinking lighty.
"Wh-What? You're kidding right? Wh-Why would you- I-I mean this... this is too much, Stolas." Blitzo pushed his hand back but Stolas grabbed his wrist, he gently set the necklace in his palm. "I know how important I.M.P is to you Blitzy, now you can keep the business running without having sex with me."
Stolas, smiled, a fake smile which Blitzo could tell immediately. "You never have to see me ever again after tonight, if you don't want to."
A sound which can only be described as gust of wind was heard behind Blitzo. "Enjoy the gift Blitz."
"Stolas what the f-" He wasn't allowed to finish his sentence, Stolas pushed him through a portal. Blitzo screamed until he landed on something soft, a bed, his bed to be exact.
"Stolas! Stolas!" Those red eyes of the prince peered through the portal as it closed, Blitzo was screaming his name he wanted to say more. He needed to.
"Shit shit shit." As usual, the imp was a natural at swearing. He fumbled his hands around in his pocket until he found his phone, quickly dialing a number. "Pick the fuck up Mox!" A few rings later, Moxxie picked up the phone.
"Sir? It's three in the morning, please try not to call at this time." The polite imp said groggily, he was in bed rubbing his eyes and yawning.
Blitz just groaned, speaking loudly and quickly into the microphone. "I need you to tell me how to tell someone that you won't accept their gift!" He spoke in a rushed way, as if he was running out of breath. "Sir, calm down. I can't understand you if you speak so quickly. Also some context would be good." Moxxie replied, sitting up and paying more attention.
"Stolas gave me something blah blah blah, I don't want it. How do I tell him?" Blitzo took a few breaths, calming himself and slowing down.
Moxxie thought for a moment. "Well, I think you should have a talk about it. Ask him why he decided to give the gift to you. Maybe it has sentimental value? Sir? Hel- Oh he hung up."
Blitz was busy speeding through the streets to get back to the mansion.
He also crushed his 13th phone.
Once he got there, he slammed the door open and ran up the stairs to Stolas' room. There he was, still on the balcony, his mascara ruined from crying.
"Blitzy?" The prince turned around, wiping his face with his robe before looking back.
"I don't want your stupid fucking crystal." He tossed it on the bed, stomping towards Stolas which made him nervously take a step back. "Why did you think for a second, that I wanted it?"
"Well, you're always complaining and grumpy whenever we get together, I just thought you didn't like fucking me." Stolas said sadly, looking into Blitz's eyes. "I thought it would be better if... if we cut the deal off. But I didn't want you to have to shut the business down so..."
The avian gestured to the necklace which was lying on the bed.
Blitzo grabbed his wrist, pulling him as he walked to the couch and sat down. Stolas nodded and sat down beside him, resting his hands on his own lap.
"Stolas... I..." Blitzo sighed, groaning and rubbing his face with his hands.
"Opening up fucking sucks." He sighed again, his legs dangling in the air cause he was too short. "But... I don't hate being around you. I always thought you were- were a entitled pretty boy who was just using me when you wanted to get railed."
Stolas smiled slightly, resting his hand on Blitz's shoulder. "But you were willing to give me something to help get me to the human world and also cut our deal off."
The imp turned to the owl, both looking into each other's eyes.
"I-I'm sorry, Stolas. I was- I was wrong." Blitzo, looked down at his hands. "I was scared, paranoid."
Stolas cupped his cheek, tilting his head up to look at him. "What are you trying to say here Blitzy? Do you want to continue sleeping with me?"
"No- Yes, m-maybe..." Blitzo groaned, his eyes darted away since he couldn't move his head to look away. "But I know that I don't mind dealing with you."
The prince nodded, pulling the imp into a hug. His long arms wrapped around his body.
Blitz hugged back, his tail wrapping around his leg as he squeezed his eyes shut.
"I just..." The imp sniffled, burying his face in the shoulder of the other. "Shush, no more sulking." Stolas rubbed his back, gentle and calm.
The Full Moon Deal, at the time, they hadn't come to a conclusion yet. All they decided was that they wanted to enjoy each other's company. The two fell asleep together, the moonlight shining through into the room and illuminating it with a light blue hue. Stolas and Blitzo, two demons so naive and hurt, their journey has just started.
