Potters Cottage, Godrics Hallow
October 31st, 1981

It was Halloween night. The streets of Godrics Hallow long, dim, and eerie. The sound of laughter and horrified shreiks of children and teenagers lingering in the air from nearby roads. All unaware of the danger so close by.

In a lively cottage, hidden to the naked eye by magic - more specifically the Fidelis Charm, was a small family. They too unaware of the danger that would soon strike. The name of said family is of course The Potter's.

The Potters consisted of two adults and an infant. James Potter, the Lord of the Most Ancient and Noble house of Potter. Lily Potter nee' Evans, James wife and the Lady of the Most Ancient and Noble house of Potter. Lastly their son Hadrian Potter, born only a year and some months ago. He is of course the Heir to the Most Ancient and Noble house of Potter.

Now you may be wondering and questioning my sanity, but what you read is the truth. You may be thinking you're crazy and magic isn't real. However, dear reader, it is - in fact real. The Potters come from a long line of magic wielding witches and wizards.

Many a family make up the magical community of the British Aisles. The magical world of Britain is run by two different bodies. The Ministry of Magic and the Wizengamot.

A Ministry of Magic is the primary governing body of the magical community in many countries. Headed by a Minister for Magic, a Ministry of Magic is responsible for regulating and enforcing laws for the magical community, as well as keeping said community hidden from the Muggle world. The Wizengamot is the High Court of magical Britain. It is made up of the Lords and Ladys of the wizarding world. They are the ones that propose and make the laws that the wizarding community of Britain have to follow.

Ok that's enough about the government of the wizarding world for now. You'll learn more later dear reader. Let's bring ourselves back to the Potters.

James and Lily Potter are currently sitting in their cozy living room. Lily had just put little Hadrian to bed up in the nursery. Unknown to them this would be the last time that they saw their little boy.

*~*~*~*

Walking down a street in Godrics Hallow, the supposed 'Light Lord' Albus Dumbledore quickly made his way towards where he knew the little cottage was hidden. He currently had one mission. Kill the Potter child before he could grow up and kill him.

So, you might be thinking why would he need to kill the child. It was because of a prophecy of course. This is what the prophecy stated:

As the seventh month dies...

A child blessed by Mother Magic will be born...

Birthed by those considered friends but also foes...

Weilding abilities the world knows not...

He shall destroy the true Dark Lord...

Saving magic will be his destiny...

The true Dark Lord will fall and an era of peace will rise up...

This shall happen as the seventh month dies...

His reason for knowing such a prophecy is because as Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry it's his job to search for a new professor to teach the Divination position. One of the candidates for the position, Sybill Trelawney, while being interviewed fell into a trance and began speaking the prophecy. The candidate was a seer - a seer being a person who is supposed to be able, through supernatural insight, to see what the future holds.
