Chapter 5

Juliet's POV

"Ooo, somebody likes you," I say in a sing-song voice, poking Lizett in the belly. Her brown eyes light up, "You really think he likes me?" I roll my eyes, "Uh yeah, he made it super obvious! You two are gonna make such a cute couple!" Lizett blushes then says, "I know right!" We both burst out laughing.

"Well I should go too. Stephanie's probably looking for me. She's gonna be so mad I met two members of One Direction without her," Lizett says.

"Ugh I have to go do some boring paperwork. But maybe we can hang out later. And we could even invite the guys! You know Harry gave me his number," I tell Lizett. Her eyes widen, "Speaking of Harry...I think somebody likes you!" Lizett pokes me in the stomach and I flinch because I'm extremely ticklish.

"Whatever you know Austin is my boyfriend. And I don't even like Harry that way," I say. "Well I'm pretty sure he likes you that way. And you said he was cute," she says accusingly.

"They're all cute! Besides I know you're just saying that because you don't like Austin," I say exasperated. "No I'm not, I really think he likes you. But now that you mention it, he would be so much better than Austin," Lizett replies.

I narrow my eyes. "Weren't you leaving?" I say. Lizett gives me a look, "Love you too." But she doesn't leave. Lizett can be so stubborn. *sigh* Lizett's never liked Austin. She really doesn't like that we're dating. I appreciate that she was honest about it, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to date Austin. I love him and he loves me. But I do wish they would get along.

Lizett's POV

"Seriously why can't you just get along with him?" Juliet asks me. Ugh, I don't wanna talk about this. I look at Juliet and see that she's staring at me intently.

I glare back at her, "Because I don't like him." I have no idea why she asks this, she already knows the answer. There's always been something about Austin that rubs me the wrong way. I just don't trust him. But I'm way past trying to not hurt Juliet's feelings, she refuses to listen to anything bad about Austin. When Juliet falls for someone she falls hard. I swear we've had this conversation so many times before. And since we have I know that now she's gonna try to tell me all the reasons why Austin is great.

"Oh, come on LIzett!" Juliet starts. I should have left when I had the chance. Suddenly my phone rings. Ha! Saved by my phone! I hold up a finger to stop Juliet from continuing.

"Gotta take this," I say innocently. "Who is it?" Juliet asks suspicious. I take out my phone. Hmm it says "unknown". I decide to answer anyway, "Hello?"

I hear a familiar British accent reply, "Hi Lizett."

Zayn's POV

"Who is it?" I hear a different voice say. I recognize it as Juliet's. LIzett must've accidently hit speaker. Or did she do it on purpose?

"Hey Zayn! I'm a little surprised you called so soon," LIzett says. I smile, "I just couldn't wait to hear your voice again."

"Awww! Zayn that's so sweet! So what are you doing?"

"Nothing much, just waiting for Harry to hurry up and finish making tacos. You like tacos?"

"Yes! Tacos are delicious! But I have to admit I love all foods."

I laugh to myself. Lizett sounds like Niall who also loves food. "Well for a girl who apparently loves food, you look stunning," I tell her.

"Zayn!" Lizett says suddenly. "What?" I ask her confused. "You keep saying all these super nice things about me and I haven't said one nice thing about you. I feel a little bad," Lizett replies.

My smile returns, "Okay then, it's your turn to say something nice about me."

"Well you're really sweet. And I think you're kinda cute," Lizett say. I raise my eyebrow. She thinks I'm kinda cute?

Suddenly I hear Juliet say, "You can't deny you like Zayn!" A huge smile breaks out on my face. Lizett likes me back? This is great! Now that I know for sure that she likes me I can ask her out. But before I get the chance to ask Lizett interrupts me.

"Uh, hey Zayn, yeah, I'm sorry I gotta go. Bye!" Lizett says in a rushed voice. My smile fades, but only a little. I didn't get to ask Lizett out. But it'll be okay since I know she likes me back. I don't have to spend the whole day wondering if she likes me. I can spend it thinking about her gorgeous eyes, and her brilliant smile. And I know that one day Lizett and I will be together.

Juliet's POV

I smile to myself, I'm so happy. Especially for Lizett. She and Zayn would make such a cute couple! If only she hadn't hung up the phone. Suddenly something Lizett said earlier comes to my mind. "Speaking of Harry--I think somebody likes you!" Could Harry really like me? Maybe Lizett was just saying that. Well if he does it doesn't matter. Harry is pretty good-looking, but he seems too cocky. And I've heard he's a HUGE flirt. Anyways I'm perfectly happy with Austin. I'm on my way to his house right now.

I finally arrive at Austin's house. It's almost 6pm. I walk up to the door and I knock. He doesn't answer so I try the knob. It's open (that's really not safe) so I go inside. The living room is right by the door, but Austin isn't in here. He must be in the kitchen. I cross the living room silently. I don't make it farther than a couple of steps in, because the scene I witness shatters my heart into a million pieces.
