"TOOONEY!!!!!!" Millie screamed as Ella entered her house.

"SHIT!!" Ella dropped to the floor like a sack of spuds.

"Fuckin' 'ell mil! You can't keep doing that man!" Getting to her feet she noticed she was the first to arrive.

"Aw I'm gutted I didn't record that!" Millie said laughing. "Come on, you can help me plate up some of this food"

"Oo what have you made us? Is it a roast? I can smell beef" Ella rounded the corner into Millie's kitchen.

"You know it!"

The two chatted away, Ella helping with some of the plating when Ona and a few others walked in joining their conversation.

About an hour had passed and there was only one person missing, Alessia.

"Right, I'll ring her now cause I'm starving" Ella reaches for her phone in her pocket.

"Hello?" A voice called from the front of the house.

"Finally! Where 'ave you been!" Ella shouted back not realising the blonde had already walked in the room.

"Oh here she goes, shouting again" Alessia smiled, greeting Millie and the others with a hug.

"Oh sorry Less, I'm Hangry, this roasts been staring at me for days" Ella held her arms out, waiting for Alessia to hug her.

"Oh your so dramatic" Alessia laughed pulling Ella into a hug as all the others chatted amongst themselves. Ella noticed the smell of a man's aftershave on Alessia. As they broke from their hug she pulled at the collar on Alessias coat to her nose.

"Where've you been then ey?" Ella winked and Alessia blushed.

"Oh nothing like that" the blonde playfully pushed Ella's hand away before tucking her hair behind her ear.

"Let's have this dinner then" Millie clapped. Everyone grabbed their plates and added their trimmings.
The group tucked in, there wasn't a word spoken, just the subtle noise of the radio in the background.

"Well mil, you've outdone yourself there mate! That was lovely thank you!" Mary was the first to finish, closely followed by the others. They all helped with the clean up operation, it was like a well oiled machine at this point.

A lot of the girls said their goodbyes and the day fell to evening, only Mary, Ella, Alessia and Millie remained.

The four of them all sat on the couch. Mary and Millie on the ends and Ella and Alessia in the middle.

After about 45 minutes of indecision, flicking through films on Netflix, Millie decided to put The Proposal on. A comfort comedy that was easy enough to watch.

It was always very cosy and homely in Millie's. With the warm lighting and a couple of soft blankets covering their legs, it was perfect comfort.

Alessia sensed Mary had a burning question, the goalkeeper, smirking to herself and fidgeting subtly, when it neared the end of the film, Mary finally leaned forward and turned her body to face the three other women.

"So Ella" Mary started.

Alessia giggled, partly through relief but mainly due to the look on Mary's face.

"When do you think Joes gonna pop the question then?"

"You what!" Ella nearly choked on her cup of tea.
Alessia and Millie giggled at her response.

"Well you've been together a while now" Mary joined the two blondes giggling.

"Oh nahh! I ain't ready for that, I like things how there are now"
