Chapter 5:- Failure
"Will you choose to be a victim of failure, or will you choose to be a victor over it?"
Some people think that failure is the worst thing that can happen to them. They avoid taking risks, trying new things, or challenging themselves, because they are afraid of failing. They think that failure means they are not good enough, not smart enough, or not worthy enough. They think that failure is the end of the road, and that there is no way to recover from it.
But they are wrong.
Failure is not the enemy. Failure is the friend. Failure is the teacher. Failure is the opportunity.
Failure is necessary in life in order to grow.
Let me tell you a story about a girl who learned this lesson the hard way.
She was a girl who had everything she wanted without any hard work. She was born into a rich and powerful family, and she never had to worry about anything. She had the best clothes, the best toys, the best education, and the best friends. She was beautiful, talented, and popular. She always got what she wanted, and she always got it easily.
She never faced any failure in her life.
She thought she was perfect, and that life was perfect. But then, the toughest challenge of her life arrived.
She had to take an entrance exam for a prestigious university that she wanted to attend. She had never studied hard for anything in her life, because she never needed to. She thought she could ace the exam with her natural intelligence and charm.
She was wrong.
She failed the exam miserably. She was shocked, humiliated, and devastated. She could not believe that she had failed at something so important. She felt like her whole world had collapsed. She felt like she had lost everything.
She got depressed.
She locked herself in her room, and refused to talk to anyone. She stopped eating, sleeping, and smiling. She cried all day and night. She hated herself, and she hated life.
She thought she was worthless, and that life was worthless.
But then, she realized something.
She realized that failure was not the end of the world. It was not a permanent mark on her identity. It was not a reflection of her value as a person.
It was a wake-up call.
It was a sign that she needed to change something in her life. It was a chance to learn something new. It was a challenge to grow as a person.
It was an opportunity.
She decided to take that opportunity.
She decided to face her failure, and learn from it. She decided to work hard, and improve herself. She decided to try again, and do better.
She decided to grow.
She started studying diligently for the exam. She read books, took notes, did exercises, and solved problems. She asked for help from her teachers, tutors, and friends. She practiced every day, and tested herself regularly.
She worked hard like a tiger, not like a donkey.
She did not give up on her dream, but she did not take it for granted either. She did not expect success to come easily, but she did not fear failure either. She did not let failure define her, but she did let it motivate her.
She embraced failure as a part of life.
And then, she took the exam again.
And this time, she passed it with flying colors.
She was overjoyed, proud, and grateful. She felt like she had achieved something meaningful. She felt like she had grown as a person. She felt like she had gained something valuable.
She felt like she had succeeded.
But more importantly, she felt like she had learned something important.
She learned that failure is necessary in life in order to grow.
She learned that failure is not the enemy. Failure is the friend. Failure is the teacher. Failure is the opportunity.
And she learned to love failure as much as success.
But this is not just a story about one girl. This is a story about all of us.
We all face failures in our lives. We all have dreams that we want to achieve. We all have challenges that we need to overcome.
And we all have choices that we need to make.
We can choose to be afraid of failure, or we can choose to befriend it.
We can choose to avoid failure, or we can choose to learn from it.
We can choose to give up after failure, or we can choose to try again.
We can choose to be bitter about failure, or we can choose to be grateful for it.
We can choose to let failure stop us, or we can choose to let it inspire us.
We can choose to hate failure, or we can choose to love it.
The choice is ours.
And our choice will determine our growth.
So what will you choose?
Will you choose to be a victim of failure, or will you choose to be a victor over it?
Will you choose to be a quitter, or will you choose to be a fighter?
Will you choose to be a loser, or will you choose to be a winner?
Will you choose to be a donkey, or will you choose to be a tiger?
The choice is yours.
And your choice will determine your reality.
So choose wisely.
Because reality bites.
But it also heals.
If you let it.
