Chapter 23 | Noah

After everyone left in their cars, only me and Kolen were left.

"You like her, just admit it" Kolen smacked me.

I looked at him in annoyance.

"When will you stop accusing me?" I huffed.

"When you admit the truth" he shrugged, with his smirk.

I rolled my eyes and walked towards my car, hearing him laugh from a distance. I drove home and parked my car in the garage.

As I clicked at the automatic garage door button, my gaze landed on Emily's living room window. It was open and both of the girls were sitting on the couch, probably watching something.

Emily was laughing her ass off and if you ask me, That was the most gorgeous laugh ever.

I stood there for a while thinking if I really liked her or not, if I really had feelings for her.

Maybe only time will tell me this. I walked inside, closing the door and upstairs. I bounced on my bed and dozed off.

A few days had passed and these days I have pretty much annoyed the hell out of Emily. I tried to flirt with her not only because I wanted to tease her or wanted to actually do it but to test myself, if I really felt something.

I did.

She blushes more and I obviously noticed that so she prefers to avoid me. But she can't. She's always stuck with me.

Tomorrow is mom's business party and I just can't imagine how excited I am to see what she is going to wear.

I washed my face and went to my bookshelf, grabbing my current read - The Scorch Trial by Maze Runner- It's an old book but it had suspense, so I like it.

After reading for an hour or two I was getting bored so I messaged Emily.

Noah : Hey, Princess

Emily : What's up with your changing nicknames!

Noah : I swear this one is permanent along with Mily ;)

Emily : please stop 🙏

Noah : Nope

Emily : why did you text me ?

Noah : I'm bored, what are you doing?

This time, instead of a text she sent me a picture of her. It was a selfie of her and she was wearing a black crop top with white pants that hugged her curves perfectly.

I moved that picture in my favourites and checked her text.

Emily : I'm shopping for tomorrow wbuu?

Noah : reading.

Emily : you read !?

Noah : Seriously!

Emily : What ! It's obviously surprising when your IQ is 20 but you read.. 😂

Noah : If my IQ is 20 and I scored much better than you in math then what would your IQ be, princess 😏

Emily : I hate you, Bye.

I laughed as I got up and began deciding my clothes as well.

I selected a beige coloured suit and hung it on my bathroom door.

I went downstairs for dinner, played with Oliver and then went to my desk to work when Emily's room lights lit up.

Her curtains were open and I could see her walking here and there. She had a big packet maybe with the dress. She was struggling to put it in her closet.

She groaned and clawed her hair with a claw clip. I gulped as I could see her whole neck now along with her exposed stomach. I know I sound like a pervert and I should look away but I can't.

She's got me hypnotized !

She walked to her bathroom and came out with her pajamas on. She closed her lights and that's it.

I looked away and continued my work for a few minutes and went to bed.

I woke up to my mom waking me up.

"Noah, wake up! It's 2pm right now. We gotta leave at 7!" She yelled, smacking the pillow on my face.

I groaned and got up, went to the bathroom and freshened up quickly. I went downstairs and had cereal and watched some sports games.

I talked to Ryan on call and it turns out that he is coming with Nina.

After wasting my time here n there, i finally decided to go get ready. I put on a Black t-shirt, Beige coat and pants. I put on my shoes and decided to leave my hair messy. I sprayed my cologne and went downstairs.

I grabbed my car keys to my Audi R8 and went to the garage. I got my car out and texted Emily to come. She replied that she'd be out in 5 minutes so I stepped out of my car and leaned on it, scrolling through my phone.

I heard the door open and I looked in front, my eyes widening. There she was standing in a beautiful dress. It had a heart neck and a slit starting from her thighs. The dress hugged her perfectly. She was wearing her white heels.

Her hair was open and curled with two white shiny clips in her hair.

I dropped my phone absentmindedly and got back to reality when she gasped. I looked down and realised what the hell I did. At least it didn't break !

She walked over to me with a shy smile. "How is it, i asked your mom if it wasn't too much, she said it was perfect so I got it." She explained.

"It's beautiful". I said, her eyes slightly widened before she gave a small smile.

" May I? " I smirked as I walked to the passenger seat and opened the door for her.

She scoffed. "When were you a gentleman"

"Enjoy while I'm at it" I laughed making her roll her eyes.

While driving to the location she had Taylor Swift songs on the radio. Again. But this time I didn't care. I just couldn't get my eyes off her. She looked heavenly freaking gorgeous.

We reached my family mansion and told the valet to park the car as I took her arms in mine.

We walked inside and I felt her grip tighten on my arm. Of course she was nervous, there were a million people here.

I patted her hand for comfort and we walked inside.

"Noah. Emily, oh dear you look lovely" my mom exclaimed.

"Thank you" Mily smiled.

"Btw is this a coincidence that we are matching or did you sneak into my room and check the colour?" She whispered in my ear as soon as my mom left making me laugh.

"The later" I smirked

"The first" she nodded.

Hours had passed and the party was honestly boring, we both just sat on a table and talked. It was never boring when I was talking to her. She was a chatterbox. She'd never stop talking. I smiled as I just admired her.
