Aly's POV

It was already dark when the van stopped.

'We're here bitchessss!' Annabel screamed as she pulled the keys from the lock.

The girls started screaming from excitement and I opened the door.

The fresh air of woods filled my nostrils.

'Finally.' I sighed and put my bag on the ground.

Emma, Louisa and Annabel jumped on me and we hugged each other tightly.

'It's so cool here! Look at the pool over there!' Emma squealed.

The pool was gigantic. And the wooden houses next to it were so cute.

There were five of them, exactly looking the same, three on one side and two on the other, what left some space in the middle filled with benches and a campfire in the middle.

'So? How do you think it is?' Emma handed me my bag and we walked to one of the houses.

'It looks amazing.' I was still looking around. There was even a hockey field next to the pool.

This place was really cool.

And we are going to live here for the next five months!

'We should unpack our things tonight so we can discuss with the other girls who gets which closet.'

I nodded. Even the house was big. It had a kitchen, living room, bathroom and a chill room, I guess. And on the first floor there were four bedrooms, another bathroom and a little room with closets filled with old books.

'So, I'm gonna take a nap if you don't mind. I'm exhausted.'

Emma smiled. 'Of course, Al. I'm going too. I'll take this room besides you so we're always close, okay?'

I nodded and smiled at her. Emma had been my best friend since we were just four years old. We spend all our school time together in the same classes, or in the same principle offices. She knew me like no other and knew I wanted her to be close to me in case something would happen. After all she was the one I trusted my life.

She gave me a hug and I walked into the room. The bed was actually really good.

I put on some comfortable clothes, which I smartly had put in another bag, and quickly fell asleep.

'Alyyyyyy!! The guys are here!!' I heard Louisa yelling from downstairs.

I opened my eyes and saw Emma already in my doorway.

'You're finally awake, sleepyhead.' She walked into my room and handed me a warm plaid.

I looked at the alarm clock on the nightstand. 'What? It's just 10pm, I fell asleep at eight!'

She giggled. 'Yes. Yesterday!' I turned a little red but she looked at me. 'Let's get downstairs. I heard the boys just arrived.'

I followed her downstairs, still dressed in my pyjamas and a plaid around my body.

'Giiirrlsss!' Mike yelled and he walked over to us. 'How's it going with my two favorite human beings?' He wrapped his arms around us and we had a nice long group hug.

Mike was part of our "group". We've known each other since kindergarten and we've spend our life together ever since.

Mike has always been the tallest, then Emma and then me. I had always been the littlest. Not that I cared that much about my height, whenever I needed something they were there for me. Not only for things like that, but when my family died they were the ones who took care of me. They were like my family now.

I yawned. 'You're tired?' Mike asked.

'She's just awake. She fell asleep at eight, yesterday evening!' I heard Emma behind me.

Mike smiled at me and shook his head.

'You'd better help me with my stuff, or you'll fall asleep. Again..'

I smiled and walked with him to the van the boys just arrived with.

'Hey Aly, how's it going?' Alex asked. He was still in the van, searching for his phone charger.

'I'm fine, enjoying the weather. And you?'

I heard him sighing in relief, he had found his charger. 'I've been looking for this thing since ages. I think I can use a drink right now.'

I giggled. 'We'll be there in a sec. Just taking Mike's stuff to the house.'

'Well, I think he can use your hands. You'll be surprised what that guy all has taken with him.'

'Yeah, I know he can go crazy when it comes to packing.'

We both laughed. 'Hey! I thought someone was gonna help me a hand?'

'Yeah yeah, I'm already coming sir.'

He handed me some of his bags. 'Jeez, Michael, what the hell? You're even worse than Emma!!'

I almost fell when he handed me a heavy bag. 'Oh hush it, at least this one isn't filled with makeup.'

I smiled. 'Hmm, I doubt that.'

Everyone had arrived and now we were all sitting on the benches around the campfire.

'So! Horror stories!!' Mike yelled and the group started cheering!

I liked the fact of being all together around a fire telling each other stories, but why the horror?!

Sam started and then David, followed by Louisa. They talked about some scary vampires and how they would come here and kill us.

The creepy noises from out of the woods made it really creepy and made Emma scream so now and then.

I had my arm crossed hers and she was almost fully hiding behind me. 'Em, it's just a story. Vampires aren't real.'

We were both shocked by the sound of something behind us.

'What the hell?!' Emma yelled.

The whole group was looking at us now.

'Wh-what was that?' I asked Emma.

She had been sitting turned around the whole time, she must have seen what was happening behind us.

'I-I saw a va-vampire..'

She sounded really serious.

'Emma, stop it! You know I don't like these things!'

She didn't start laughing hysterically like she used to when she did things like this.

'Aly, I'm freaking serious. I swear to God.. I just saw a...'

Again we heard a noise. I was already done with this day. I looked at Mike, who had a light panic on his face.

'I'm going to bed, I'll see y'all tomorrow.' I took Emma's hand and led her back to our house.

We weren't even inside yet when we heard lots of screaming. 'Get in the cellar!'

Emma looked at me. 'But you...'

I opened the door and accidentally ran into someone.

I looked up to face a girl.

I was really frightened right now. But her eyes were so bright. What was happening right now?

'Emma! Go! Now!' I heard a loud noise, but I knew Emma was safe.'

I heard some noises coming from downstairs. I was terrified at the moment.

The last thing I saw was her catching me in her arms before I could hit the floor.

Then everything went black.
