There was a feeling of nervousness for the people of Meteor Kingom as Chrollo, the former King's son, was crowned the new ruler. His father had been a cruel and idiotic leader. And his mother, a braindead spender, who could not think of much more than parties and what color shoes went best with her dress. Thousands suffered under his father's 43-year reign, and there wasn't much hope for his son's character. Usually, people can find a sense of pride in their family lineage. Kings or not, your family history can give you a sense of belonging and honor. It was not the same case for Chrollo. He had the misfortune of coming from a long line of idiots. Since before his birth, he was doomed to a life of side eyeing and disdain.
You see, his family had been on the throne since the very existence of his Kingdom. They were a long line of ruthless, powerful, and honestly insane monarchs. Regardless, they were largely tolerated throughout the years. That was until Chrollo's father gained the throne. At the age of 19, after his parents were both taken by smallpox, the spoiled brat was head of the Kingdom. He was a sadistic, torturous, and evil young man. And he grew up to be worse. When he wasn't taking out his hate on his subjects, it was Chrollo who he targeted. Often leaving the poor boy without food or water for days, beating him up, or leaving the young boy his work. His excuse was that he was preparing the boy for his future role, and he was, to an extent. He showed Chrollo what not to do when he gained his title.
He had made up his mind. He was going to end the tradition his family started and finally look after something other than himself. But the universe was not so kind to him. With his father's death came talk of revolution after the terror he brought to the Kingdom. All Chrollo wanted was for his people to love him, for someone, anyone, to love him.

ANYWAYS I reallyyyyy hope you enjoyed the first chapter of this story. It gets better from this. It was just kind of an introductory chapter. cya--
