“Don’t you dare speak to me again…I can’t believe you!”

The tears slowly rolled down her cheeks as she crawled into the corner in her room. She wiped her eyes feverishly and wrapped her arms around her cold legs.

“Please Catalina you have to trust me when I say it was a mistake.” Tyler ran to her and dropped to his knees begging for forgiveness. “Catalina I didn’t know what was going on until it happened… ZaZa set me up and she sent it around school, making it seem that we did more than that.” Tyler touched Catalina’s hand. But she pushed him.

“Why should I believe your lies, huh? You told me you were going out to eat with Evan and some friends.” Catalina shoved him and he fell back on his back lazily.

“Plans changed at the last minute and ZaZa said she would pay me to tutor her for her test tomorrow.” Tyler stood up off the floor as his eyes begin to water.

Catalina rose from the corner shaking and walked silently to her door opening it while the door creaked. “Tyler I think you need to leave…I’m tired and need to think, but as far as right now we are over.”

At a lost for words and of regretting saying something stupid…he walked out of her room and stomped downstairs slamming her front door. Catalina sighed as a new fresh wave of hot tears rolled down her pale cheeks. She walked over to her high canopy bed: first climbing the ladder and then discarding her shoes. Shoving off her wet clothes and putting her drenched long dark brown hair into a ponytail, she pulled back the light pink veil surrounding the bed and dived under the black silk covers. She stared up at the little Christmas lights as they twinkled at the top of the canopy. Letting sleep indulge her freezing frame she remembered the water in Tyler’s aqua blue eyes as it mirrored her own hazel ones.
