<3your mom and ms. miya sat down in the living room, gossiping whilst you enjoyed your time in osamu's room.
it had been a few days since coach kurosu asked if you wanted to become a manager, but you hadn't given it much thought yet. instead, you were distracting yourself with homework and osamu.
you were playing overcooked (😋) in osamu's room. the light were off to avoid glare on the tv. you were at the edge of the bed with him, curled up in a blanket he let you borrow.
"no, y/n here," he said, glowering at the t.v screen as you fumbled around with the controls.
"here?"
"no! right here!" he shouted this time.
you tried tossing him a plate in the game, but you weren't used to the controls yet. you pressed the wrong button and ended up throwing the food into the trash.
osamu pulled a hand over his face, "for god's sake, y/n!"
you couldn't help the sudden laughing fit that overtook you. there was something about seeing him so worked up about a game that was amusing.
"don't laugh! our customers are going to give us a bad review!" he joked, despite his irritation with you.
your controller was lying next to you as you doubled over, tears brimming the corner of your eyes.
osamu paused the game, watching as you tried to control yourself.
a lopsided grin made its way to his face, "you're impossible, y/n. why is overcooked the only game you're bad at?"
you shook your head, "i have no idea," you manage to squeal out between your laughs.
you finally calmed down, sitting upright again. osamu was about to resume when his brother barged into his room.
"hey," he said, his eyes falling on the screen. his eyebrows rose with interest as he let himself in and sat down next to you, "oh you guys are playing overcooked?"
"no, we're just staring at the screen."
osamu's sarcasm wasn't lost on the blonde. he huffed out but didn't say anything.
"y/n, you're caught up on work?" atsumu turned to you.
you shook your head, lowering your gaze.
he scoffed, "and you're playing games?"
"hey! i wanted to relax."
"plus," osamu adds, "i wanted to think about something other than volleyball."
atsumu looks like he's about to say something else, but he doesn't get the chance.
"here," osamu muttered, jabbing atsumu in the side with another controller.
atsumu jumped lightly before smiling. he eagerly took the console from his hands, "thanks 'samu."
osamu restarted the game so that he could connect atsumu's controller. it took a second, but they managed. you all picked your characters.
osamu selected the level the two of you were just on. a few seconds into the round, atsumu gasped.
you both looked at him, "this controller has drift!"
osamu smirked, "oh yeah, my bad."
"why did you give me the shitty controller?"
"quiet, atsumu, you're lucky he gave you anything," you tease.
atsumu mouth falls open in shock, "no need to bash me."
he makes do with the drift. he complains now and then, but eventually, he quiets down.
