Jade Stark's Story *On Hiatus*

Friday Night Dinner

~A/N~ Sorry this is late. I'm not even going to try to come up with an excuse, I just forgot~

~Next Friday~
 
“Do we have to do this?” Jade asked as Pepper did her hair. 
 
Tony sighed and tied his tie. “Unfortunately, yes. Take that up with Pepper”
 
“Is Grace going to be there?”
 
Shaking his head, Tony tightened his tie and turned away from the mirror to look at Jade. “No, they already hate me enough, I’m not going to tell them that I drunkenly cheated on their daughter with my assistant and conceived a child. It will just be me, you and Pepper. And them, unfortunately…” He rolled his eyes. “I'm going to need so much alcohol later…"
 
Pepper rolled her eyes. She finished Jade's hair and set down the curling iron. "How does she look Tony?" She nudged Jade and made a spin motion with her finger. 
 
Jade rolled her eyes and stood up and spun around slowly. 
 
"Absolutely stunning," Tony said, smiling. 

"Please don't get anything on your dress Jade" Pepper said as she smoothed out wrinkles on Jade's dress. They wanted Jade to look younger and more innocent and not too mature so they had her in a short white dress and shoes with light pink makeup and curled hair.
 
Scoffing, Tony shook his head. "Have you met her, Pepper? She's a very messy eater"
 
After flipping him off, which Tony returned, Jade left the bedroom and went to Peter's room until her mother's parents got there. Jade was very nervous about meeting them, and Tony talking shit about them wasn't helping. Part of her wanted them to like her, they were her grandparents after all, they knew her mother better than anyone else. But the other part of her didn't care what they thought, she didn’t want to have to pretend to be a precious little princess around them. She liked the way she was now, yes she was still hurting and still had trauma from her past, but she loved finally being able to not give a fuck about what anyone else thought of her. 
 
Past Jadey would probably have cried and hid in her room if anyone talked bad about her. Now, she doesn't care and just brushes it off. As much as she hated to admit it, Radley changed her and she liked the change. She was still mad that Tony sent her away, but she was also grateful since it helped her. 
 
She poked her head into Peter's room. "Hey, wanna see my outfit for tonight?"
 
Peter's eyes lit up and he sat up. "Um, yes!"
 
Laughing, Jade walked in and twirled. "Whaddya think?"
 
"Um…" His eyes were wide as he looked at her. "You-You look amazing…" 
 
"Thank you" She went and sat next to him, laying her head on his chest. "I am so not ready for this…"
 
Peter chuckled, kissing her head. "You'll be okay. They'll love you. I wish I could be there to ease your anxiety but sadly I cannot"
 
"Yeah I know," She sighed. "How long do you think we should keep us a secret for?"
 
Peter shrugged. "Um, I don't know. Who all knows?"
 
"Pepper, Grace, Joce, Natalie-" Jade counted on her fingers as she listed off names. "Janet, Hank, Scott, Sam, Bucky, Steve, Rhodey, Harley, Theo, Ned, and obviously MJ"
 
"So just Clint, Natasha, Wanda, Pietro, Banner, Vision, Kacey, Pip, and Tony don't know?"
 
Jade nodded. "I think, yeah." 
 
Peter sighed. He ran his hand through Jade's hair as he thought. "I think we should wait a little bit to tell Clint, Nat and Tony, I don't think Pietro, Vision, or Banner would care, and we can tell Wanda, Kacey, and Pip if you want" 
 
"The only thing I really care about is Nat and Clint not being like 'I told you two that you were into each other!' and then Tony not murdering you"
 
Peter nodded before stopping and turning to look at Jade. "How do you think your grandparents would react to us dating? I know you haven't met them yet but from what you know about them?"
 
"They don't like me so I don't know. They might be like 'he's not good enough for a Cyrus girl'" Jade did a posh, French accent when she said the last part. 
 
They both burst into laughter and when they calmed down, Peter rubbed his jaw. "My jaw always hurts whenever I'm with you from smiling and laughing so much"
 
"Stop being cheesy" Jade rolled her eyes, playfully shoving his shoulder. 
 
"Jade, Mr. Stark asked me to tell you that your grandparents will be here very soon and that he wants you to head to the dining room" 
 
Jade sighed. "Let the games begin" 
 
"Goodluck babe" Peter said, giving her a Goodluck kiss. 
 
When they pulled away, Jade laughed and wiped the lipstick that had come off on Peter's lips. "I'll see you later"
 
The tower had multiple dining rooms, though no one really ate in them, but whenever they did they just used the one of the main floor since that's the floor everyone lived on. Pepper thought that the main floor dining room wasn't big or elegant enough, so they decided to use one of the other ones. 
 
Jade walked in and her eyes widened. "Woah, how come the main one isn't like this?"
 
Tony shrugged. "Not big enough"
