Affair with Mrs Maximoff

I sit next to Matt and jen as I watch aagatha sitting on the stand. Matt stands up to start questioning her. Today is just questioning people if they knew about the abuse i went through and what they knew about it.

"When was it that you were told about Michaels abusive behaviour?" Matt asks. Agatha looks at me before speaking "I can't remember the exact date..but it was around January time threeish years ago. I had went to Audrey's to give her a hoodie one of her boys left and she was there with..Wanda. thats when I found out about them being together so I asked about their husbands. Wanda told me then that Michael was abusing audrey".

"Am I right that you sometimes had Harry, James and Danny sent over late on a night?" He asks. She nods "yes you are. They would tell me things along the lines of their dad was being mean to their mom or that they were fighting". "Thats all my questions" he says sitting down.

The other lawyer stands up and walks towards Agatha "Did you ever see Michael being..rough with Audrey whilst they were together?". Agatha looks down and shakes her head "no". "And did you any see bruises or..signs of abuse on Mrs potts' body?" He asks. Agatha shakes her head again. "So there were no actual signs of the abuse happening..you were just going off their word" he asks. She looks back up and looks annoyed "Yes..but-". Shes cut off by the lawyer saying he has no more questions.

Next on the stand is Wanda. She offers me a comforting smile as she sits down. "Wanda when did you find out about the abuse?" Matt asks. "It was..I want to say about 4 years ago. I grew suspicious that something was going on when Agatha joked about it and she panicked. And the same day I got a call late on the night for her boys to sleep over. When she was stood on the porch watching them I noticed the bruising on her wrist then she was pulled inside" she tells him.

Matt nods "So you have seen the wounds Audrey recieved?". Wanda nods "yes. I used to go over the next morning if her boys were sent out on the night. I would check over her bruises and I would put a cream on she kept for the kids bumps and scrapes. There was a few times I would get there and find her passed out on the floor and bleeding.". "Thats all my questions" matt says before sitting down.

"You had an affair with Mrs potts didnt you?" The other lawyer asks making wanda frown. "Objection. I don't see how this is relevant" Matt says. The judge looks at him then the lawyer "next question". "Okay..let me reword that. Do you believe your affair could make you believe Audrey more?" He says.

I start to zone out as Wanda answers question after question. All my neighbours take the stand and answer questions and the whole time I stare at a space. I'm pulled out of my state by Wanda shaking my shoulder. I look up at her blankly then at the empty court room. "Honey its home time" she whispers helping me stand up.

I nod at the redhead and her arm wraps round my waist as we walk out. I notice her giving Matt and Jen looks as I stay silent. "Call if you need anything" Jen says before they walk to their car. We get in our own and wanda starts driving.

"Fancy drive thru?" Wanda asks placing a hand on my thigh. I shake my head and I mumble "not hungry". She nods and taps her fingers against me "Agatha said she will have the kids tonight so we can relax". I hum and I look out the window.

As soon as we get in the house I go straight upstairs. I change into a nightgown and I lay on the bed. I stare at the wall as a migrane starts to take over me. A figure in the door blocks the light from the hall for a few seconds before it leaves.

I hear wanda on the phone at the bottom of the stairs "hey how are the kids. Good...shes..not doing well to be honest..she didn't want anything to eat and has only said a few things since we got in the car. She went up to bed and shes just staring at the wall. Ill call you tommorow..thanks". I hear her hanging up then footsteps coming back up the stairs.

The bed sinks next to me and I feel her arm sliding across my waist. Her lips press gentle kisses on the back of my head as she hums a tune. After a while her breathing slows down and I hear quiet snores. Her head nuzzles closer to my neck but I keep staring. Just thinking about nothing. Nada.
