Every day was the same. It was a routine Daniel knew by now. He'd be assigned a base to watch over for the day while somebody tries to kill him, or he'd spend his whole day training. Sometimes, if he was lucky of course, he would be assigned to go on a mission that somebody tries to kill him in.
He never thought about it as 'un-ordinary' or 'strange'. Because since he can remember he's been doing this. That was until M.O.M started introducing people from other universes. The first case for this was with Ruthie. He remembers that very vividly. It was the first day of Mira HQ, and he accused her just because she was knew.
But he really started becoming aware when M.O.M introduced Michelle, Cole, and Zoe. It was near the same time. Cole and Zoe were just there one day, and then a few months later Michelle appeared, and that was that. No questions were asked, not as far as he was aware, anyway.
The next thing he knew he was an announcer with his in-law, Britney. They were walking towards the losers, before Daniel asked a question. "Do you ever think there's something more going on?" Britney stopped. "What do you mean?" "I don't know, I never really thought about it until I was paired with Zoe. It was like she didn't know what was happening that much." He said, adjusting his wig.
"Is it not normal?" "I mean, I think so." "Have you ever wondered what the outside looked like?" She asked. "Not really, I mean, I guess that's what I thought we were training for. Do you think M.O.M will notice if anyone leaves?" Britney laughed. "Clearly not. All of the attention is on your family." "No I mean me." Britney stopped. "Oh, yeah- oh. You want to leave?"
"No-I- that's not what I meant." "Right... I mean to answer your question if we ever did leave, M.O.M might not notice, but your younger siblings sure would." Britney said 'we' very clearly. She was thinking the same thing. Daniel looked at the other agents he was walking towards. "Well, then I guess we'll have to try."
