My heart races

My breath hitches here and there

My body temperature warms up

Palms become sweaty

Constantly swallowing my own saliva while trying to force myself to stop staring at your lips that I wish I could kiss

My heart tells me "Damn, She. Is. Hot."

My brain tells me "But she's our friend"

But why should that matter

Cause if I were to ask you out. I would already know your answer before I say it

And I always respond with my original
"It's ok" while I strangle my tears that are trying to escape from my watery eyes

I'll support you through your relationship

That I wish that I was in

Because we go to sleep saying we love each other

But I feel like I have to add

"As a friend" at the end

So I don't freak you out
