Today was your day off and you decided to watch a movie with your boyfriend, Wheatley. While he prepared the snacks and drinks, you sat down on the couch and logged into your Netflix account. Since he chose the movie last time, you knew you had full control of picking it this time. Taking the remote, you clicked yourself through your list until you finally found it.

"What are we watching tonight, love?", Wheatley shouted from the kitchen, probably standing in front of the microwave as you could hear the sweet sound of popping popcorn. You smile and shout back: "You have 3 guesses!". He gulped and sighed, a chuckle escaping his lips as he looked around the corner. "Don't tell me..", he started and you interrupted him "Yup! We're watching [favorite movie]. And you cannot say no since you chose last time!". You beamed with excitment and Wheatley could only smile. As he returned to the kitchen to take the bag out of the microwave, he shouted back: "Not trying, love. You chose and we'll watch it".

You smile triumphantly and take a look outside the window. It was already 10 PM, so the moon was out and shining brightly tonight. You lived on the outside part of the city, where the lights didn't bother you too much. You get up and take a step towards the window. Some stars were really visible tonight, others not so, but you knew they were there. Little water drops fell onto the glass infront of you, making you smile. You love rainy nights. The peace and quiet outside, the stars and the moon shining brightly, accompanied by the sound of droplets falling onto the ground and the cool breeze of the wind.

As you looked outside, lost in thoughts of the beauty of nature, Wheatley has stepped out of the kitchen, putting a tray on the coffee table in the living room. He looked over to you and his lips curved into a smile. 'How was I so lucky to get such a wonderful partner...', he thought to himself as he admired you. "It's one of your favorite weathers outside, huh, love?", he asked, stepping behind you as he slowly placed his hands on your hips. He seemed to wait for your premission and as soon as you nodded at him, he wrapped his arms around you, holding you close. You two stayed there in a moment of silence as you looked out the window together, when suddenly Wheatley turned you around to face him. "I have an idea", he said as he gently kissed your forehead. "How about we go outside for a bit?". Your eyes sparkled at his questions, a smile on your face instantly. "Yes!", you spoke out as you grabbed his hand and eagerly ran outside, laughing. Wheatley chuckled as he followed you.

Letting go of his hand, you jumped into a puddle, laughing happily as Wheatley could do nothing but admire you once more. He loved seeing you this happy. To know you can be happy here, together with him. He always remembers the little things you love and buys you little surprises almost every day, like your favorite snack, a plushy, clothes you looked at at stores but decided not to buy to not "waste" money. Wheatleys only mission was seeing you smile. And nothing was too difficult or too expensive for him to achieve just that.

As you looked up into the sky, letting the water gently hit your face, Wheatley gently grabbed your hand. You looked at him as he smiled. He raised his hand as you did a little twirl and giggled. As soon as he put his other hand on your waist, you realized what his intention was, so you placed your other hand on his shoulder. The two of you danced in the rain, something you've been always wanting to do with your lover. The only light source being a streetlamp and the stars as you two danced in the rain make it all seem like a beautiful fairytale to you. But you knew this was real. And you couldn't be more thankful.

"I love you, Y/N", Wheatley broke the silence as he placed a gentle kiss on your lips.
"I love you too, Wheatley..", you quietly responded, a slight blush on your cheeks as he danced with you like you were royalty. Gentle and delicately, like two butterflies in the sky. It was a night you'd remember forever, like a core memory has been created.
