"HE STARTED LIVESTREAMING?!"

(Y/n) shouted in Daniel's face when he tried to tell her about his time at Duke's place the night before. While she was in her second body on dates, and in her original body working, Daniel was in his original one with Duke.

"Yes, (Y/n), I said that four times already. And I told you last night too.. What, do you have dementia or something?" Daniel grumbled, his hand covering his ear in an attempt to protect himself from going deaf. The people walking past the two on the sidewalk winced at the girl's sudden shouting, some even thinking something was wrong, only to be annoyed when they found out nothing was the matter and that she was seemingly yelling for no reason.

"Oh, my bad," she replied, scratching the back of her neck with a crooked smile when Daniel pointed out her horrible listening skills. He let out an exasperated sigh and started speaking again.

"Anyways... I heard from Jiho that there's a top streamer in our class," he continued as the two of them entered the school's main entrance, ignoring her fan club who shouted something about their.. new club name..? What was it again.. 'Connectors to the Queen'..? No, it was probably 'protectors', 'connectors' sounds gross.

Anyways...

(Y/n) walked calmly into the classroom with Daniel, still wondering who the top streamer was since he never actually told her, but she figured she shouldn't pay it too much mind and just sat down in her seat instead of asking questions. She turned to Jay with a smile, no signs of exhaustion on her face despite the lack of sleep, high energy was just another advantage of the second body. That, and she was honestly just happy to see him again.

"..."

"I'm actually doing really good today! What about you?"

"..."

She was about to give him a reply, before hearing the voice of a girl calling Daniel's name behind her, causing her to shut up to look back and eavesdrop.

"Daniel!~ I loved your performance! The song was really great!"

The girl exclaimed, hovering over Daniel's desk with her hands supporting her.

Yui Kim.

Daniel looked up at her with eyes wide in surprise that the girl would even think to speak with him. What she did next shocked him even more.

"I bought this for you!"

Yui smiled, holding out a wallet with the pattern of an expensive brand plastered all over it. (Y/n)'s jaw dropped slightly, as she recognized the pattern from a bag her mother had brought out only on special occasions. And to think that this random girl was giving it to her brother for free?? Pretty privilege really was real...

"Thanks, but this is too much. Sorry..." Daniel smiled awkwardly as he tried to politely decline her gift, probably intimidated by the wealth this girl had to have to just be giving away a bag that expensive.

The girl remained silent, but it was obvious she was touched by Daniel's words for whatever reason. It was then that Daniel realized that the girl had a crush on him, and as a result, he felt drawn to her. And for the rest of class, he stared at her, hoping she would look back at him. Hoping that their eyes would meet. What a stupid thing to crush on someone simply because they had a crush on you, (Y/n) thought.

Later after class, (Y/n) was approached by Zoe inviting her to hang out.

"Hey (Y/n), me and the girls are going shopping. You should come with us!~" She smiled as she took her hands.

She was almost going to deny her due to the fact that she had work that day. Not only that, but she'd never gone out shopping with a group of girls, especially not a group of friends. It was unusual to her. She felt like she kinda had to deny her.

"Uhm.. I mean, I'd love to.. But, uh.."

"Pleeeeeeeaseee!~"

"...Fine."

Zoe smiled and hugged the girl before damn near skipping off to let her friends know (Y/n) was going to join them. They all smiled excitedly at the news and continued to plan out what stores they'd be going to.

(Y/n), on the other hand, was now on the search for Daniel to inform him that he was going to be covering her shift that day. She scanned the classroom, he was no where to be found. Not wanting to be wandering aimlessly looking for him, she asked around to see if anyone had seen him.

"No, I haven't seen him.." Answered Zack with a slightly annoyed expression on his face, phone in hand. She raised a brow at his expression but returned the same annoyed energy. She still didn't like him all too much...

"Hmm.. No, but I can help you look if you want!" Mira smiled. (Y/n) thanked her, but denied her offer before moving on to someone else.

"No." Jiho replied simply. She nodded slowly before walking away from him.

'Something's definitely off about him.'

"..." Jay nodded, pointing towards the door of the classroom, before pointing to the right to indicate he had gone right. Of course Jay knew.

"Oh my god, thank you! You're the best, Jay!" She smiled as she pulled him into a hug, giving him a kiss on the cheek before running off to find her bitch-ass brother, leaving Jay to process the interaction that the two just had.

The girl walked quickly down the slightly crowded halls, wondering where the fuck Daniel could've gone at this time of the day. After what felt like eons of searching, she eventually found him standing next to the wall talking to Duke, and yanked him away with little warning.

"I'll give him back, don't worry." She reassured Duke before dragging Daniel across the hall.

"What the hell, (Y/n)!" Daniel whispered-shouted.

"Hush, I need you to cover my shift today. I promised Zoe and the girls I'd go out shopping with them."

Daniel's face immediately twisted from his usual happy expression to a look of annoyance and near disappointment in her statement. "Why would you agree if you knew you had a shift?" Daniel pried, crossing his arms as he leaned against the wall of the hallway.

"Listen, I couldn't say no, okay?" (Y/n) insisted, throwing your hands up in defense. She could've said no, Daniel knew that all too well, but he didn't feel like arguing at that moment so he only shook his head as he rubbed his temple. He was just tired of her shit.

"Fine." He reluctantly agreed, not giving her time to express her gratitude before walking back to Duke with a smile on his face, apologizing for the interruption and continuing his conversation.

(Y/n) was annoyed at the way he left her there, but she brushed it off. She now had bigger things to worry about. This would be the first time she's ever gone out shopping with friends, and she was terrified.
