A familiar, irritating noise is coming from Taro's phone, his alarm. As Ander reached to silence it, Taro woke up. "Good morning, Taro!" Ander said, a look of excitement on his face as he hugged him. "Mmmmorning," Taro said, still waking up. Taro set his alarm earlier than necessary to allow room for inevitable distractions, so it's only reasonable for him to be tired at first.
Taro finally sat up, gently nudging Ander off of him. "Sorry, I've gotta get ready," Taro said, a look of tired pity on his face. "Awe," Ander said, still hugging Taro, but with a loosened grip. Taro tiredly stumbled to the bathroom to brush his teeth, while Ander went to go look for food in their empty refrigerator. "I think we ran out of food again!" Ander said, closing the fridge with a defeated look on his face.
"mmk," Taro mumbled while coming out of the bathroom in his FBI uniform. "Uh, I think they gave me the wrong size uniform, but this'll work, I guess." Taro said, with a look of contemplation on his face. Why did clothes never fit him? "I don't think they have child sizes," Ander said, giggling to himself. He thought he had made the funniest joke ever.
Taro thought it was eyeball worthy at best.
"You think you're so funny, don't you?" Taro said while tying his shoe, naturally annoyed at his poor attempt at a joke. "Well, maybe they thought you'd grow into -'' Ander was immediately interrupted by Taro, hitting him with a pillow. "Shut up." Taro said, flicking him off. "HA, GOT YOU!" Ander said, a look of pride on his face as he hugged Taro. "I can't grow any more than this, dummy," Taro said, speech muffled by Anders' shirt.
Ander hugged him tighter, mentioning something about him being adorable and then letting go of Taro, who immediately went to get a Capri Sun. "It's almost time for me to leave for work," Taro said, with a look of nervousness and excitement for his first day in law enforcement. He was especially anxious because he knew Thatcher didn't want him joining law enforcement because of what happened to Ruth. Ander snatched the Capri Sun and finished it. It had almost become a game to Taro, to finish a Capri sun before Ander stole it.
"Hey, it says gullible on the ceiling" Taro said, in a playfully sinister tone. "Huh, where?" Ander said, looking up. Suddenly, he felt Taros' warm arms wrap and tighten around him. He had been hugged. "You really are gullible," Taro said, slightly giggling.
Ander didn't know what to think, he just fell for one of the most common tricks, but he also got hugged. "Whatever" he said, picking up Taro and dropping him on the couch playfully. "HEY!" Taro said, through laughter. Ander suddenly looked confused, there was an alarm going off. And it was coming from their room."I gotta go or I'm gonna be late!" Taro said in a panic quickly running and grabbed his phone to turn the alarm off.
Ander sighed and slowly walked over to his computer as Taro left. He looked at the time. It was 6:48 am. Ander was concerned but not shocked that Taro in fact, was not paying attention to the time. He was 30 minutes early.
"Better early than late, I guess" Ander pulled out his phone to text Taro to let him know he was not going to be late. He hit the send button and waited for a response. A minute later he got a text back from Taro. The message read "Yeah i see that now, so I guess i'll stop and get some breakfast or something".
Ander looked at the message, and replied with a smiley face.

"Can I take your order?" the coffee shop employee asked, with a neutral tone. "Oh... um," Taro looked unsure "Uh I'll just get a medium coffee and uh 2 of those". He pointed to the banana muffins. "That'll be 15.70!" the cashier said, handing taro his order with the signature customer service smile and tone. "Thanks, have a nice day!" Taro said in return, almost automatically. He tipped the cashier, and walked to the Mandela County law enforcement building.
