The warm sun had woken me up. I pulled myself out of bed and looked beside me, Hudson was gone. We didn't speak to one another or do anything yesterday. We just went into our bedroom, changed our clothes and slept. Definitely the most perfect wedding night a woman could get...
I pull the rope near me and the bells start ringing which signals the maids I have was awoken. My maid and my best friend Clara comes walking into my room with a sweet smile on her face.
"Did you sleep good Mary?" she asks while I put on my slippers and she heads into the bathroom to start the bath.
"I think so, I mean I didn't have nightmares" I walk into the bathroom watching her apply some herbal oils and roses onto it.
"No silly, was it..you know good? I've been dying to find out" she winked at me.
I sigh, taking off my clothes and getting into the bath.
"if you are talking about that then i must tell you the truth about that thing" i widen my eyes every time i say that.
"What happened?" she asks me again
"Nothing happened. Absolutely nothing happened" I get angry remembering last night.
"Mary, tell me you're joking?" Clara wasn't asking more than a question but almost begging.
"Couldn't be more serious" looking down at the bubbles, bringing my legs close to my chest. I wrapped my arms around my legs, wanting to just hide away from Hudson for the rest of my life.
"This is terrible, people will spread rumors and you will lose your place as Queen" Clara scrubs my hair with scented creams.
"Well what am I supposed to do? Beg him to sleep with me?" i roll my eyes
"No but you could at least seduce him"
"And how am I supposed to do that?" i ask her
She takes a moment to think, "I remember when i was younger my grandmother lilly would tell me when she was working for your father and mother, sir nolan and lady Mia, she wasn't into him at first. It stressed him out very day until he toke care of himself little more and Mia starts to notice him more", she pours water on my hair, getting rid of any cream left over.
"So your saying i need to change myself so he can like me" i look at her confused
Her lip curves upwards, "I'm not saying change yourself but try something new"
I sit in the bathtub thinking if I do this just so my own husband can notice me.
20 minutes later...
I had on a blue dress and my glasses.

Clara was brushing my hair like usual then put on my clips but I stopped her hand.
