LI DAIYU WAILED, clutching tightly onto her mothers arm. "Dad, where's dad! I want dad, please mother!" A 10 year old Daiyu desperately pleaded, wishing that words could resurrect the dead.
Flames painted vibrant strokes of amber, gold and crimson, devouring the home that was once a childhood sanctuary. The fire casted a desolate glow against the dark night of the sky, not one star was present, it was as if the heavens knew the tragedy that was occurring at the Li palace and wanted to stay metres away from the nightmare that Daiyu was living.
Fond memories that lived within the high walls of the palace, once euphoric and cherished, were consumed by an inferno, leaving the memories to be dissolved into the abyss with the remaining ruins of the little girl's home.
Smoke curled and crowded against her lungs, slowly suffocating the girl as she continued to tug on her mothers arm, begging to go back in for her father; her star, an unwavering guide that illuminated her path through life. Daiyu met the stern gaze of her mother, an unstill storm being carried behind her darkened eye. The little girl knew she was talking to nothing but a wall, it was useless, her mother was not going back.
Swallowing her cries, Daiyu walked away from her home, her family, her childhood, with a perilous hole in her heart that only served as a tomb for bitterness and hatred which Wufeng had created by carving out her heart and leaving her with nothing but emptiness.
A young Daiyu swore to the heavens and earths that one day she would find vengeance and inflict pain on Wufeng just as they had done to her, she swore to sever every piece of their humanity and make them feel the heart-wrenching pain of loss. Loss of family, loss of home and loss of life.
Arm in arm with the devil, Daiyu escaped the chaos that Wufeng created and left the ruins that was once a palace with only her mother by her side.

omg, i am so excited to get started with this story, I have so much planed out for daiyu and her storyline! the plot twists are going to be insane, we'll get to see our lovely young master next chapter, i am so excited to see his relationship develop with daiyu. next chapters going to be a time skip to when shes in the gong residence and is older, maybe old enough for marriage? hehe. also tell me what you think about daiyu's mother so far, any theories on her or what you think she's like.
