Mob characters.
A term used to describe people, characters, as a background filler in ones' story as a way to make the story lively. In game terms, they're the "NPC" that are created solely for the protagonist to use, be it as enemy, neutral, or allies, or just be there to make the game lively.
...At one point in time, I used to think that I was the protagonist, after all I was a member of a club with 2 other girls, my girlfriend and somebody that became one of my precious connection, a strict yet lovable christmas cake teacher that looked out for me, a sly foxy kouhai that grew on me, an angel that I would have confessed if he was a girl, a little sister that I wouldn't hesitate to give my life to protect, and other connections, most of which I despised at the beginning, yet grew to appreciate. How could I not believe to be the protagonist when faced with this situation? After all the novels I had consumed?
...I was a fool.
I was merely a mob character.
Not anybody special.
Who would call a person "Protagonist" when he foolishly lost everything?
...It all started on the day we came back to school as 3rd years.
A new student. Transferred here in an exchange program and landed himself in my class. Short black hair, average face and body, everything about practically screamed average. I paid him no heed, dismissing him from my mind almost immediately.
...Honestly, that was my first mistake.
I... I don't know exactly when but they started to avoid me. It started small, no reply to my messages and being careful with their words instead of their usual acts, then it slowly escalated to canceling meetups all of a sudden, their warm words that brightened my day instead poured freezing water, and avoided me whenever I tried to talk to them.
Of course, I tried to fix whatever fault I may have made, yet to no avail. I tried asking, changed myself to become nicer to them, did everything they asked for...
Nothing worked. Everything just kept going downhill.
...Miura, Ebina, Haruno, Kawasaki, Totsuka, Isshiki, Hiratsuka, Yui, and...
Yukino Yukinoshita. My girlfriend.
...Once, I got too angry over being ignored and a bit suspicious, I followed Yukino after club ended. She was too fidgety during the club and kept on looking at her phone instead of her usual book reading, leading me to be suspicious of her and deciding to follow her instead of trusting her like usual.
...My second mistake. My biggest regret.
...She went to a love hotel and waited in front of there like a damn horny girl while checking her phone every once in a while.
Then I saw him.
The transfer guy, Seki Seitaro.
Till now, I can't get rid of that sheer adoration I saw on her face when she saw him. How she practically jumped into his arms then kissed, as if she was starving.
I immediately come out from my hiding spot, anger swelling like a volcano about to erupt, yet froze as I see somebody else appear.
Yui Yuigahama.
She too immediately leapt at him once he was alone then devoured his mouth with lust filled eyes. My mind went blank as I gaze at the sheer debauchery of hers', yet my shock didn't stop there.
Shizuka Hiratsuka, Iroha Isshiki, Saika Totsuka, Saki Kawasaki, Haruno Yukinoshita, Hina Ebina, Yumiko Miura.
All of them. All of them appeared then acted in a similar fashion to Yukino and Yui.
