XIV. Knowing About Kayden (Jaylin)

I got up, following him up to my bedroom.

"Where're you going?"

He didn't speak. He grabbed Kayden's black leggings, a little tank top with a blue jean vest and some silver gladiator sandals & put them on her.

"DANIEL!" I raise my voice.

"Stop yellin.." Was all he said as he walked past me.

I sighed, put on his Jordan slippers & followed him out the door.

"Will you tell me where you're taking my baby?" I asked him, walking out of the front door.

He was silent.

I sighed & just followed him.

We walked over to his house & just walked right in.

"MA!!" He yelled, walking into the family room.

"Yes??"

I looked up behind me, at the little balcony for her room to the family room.

She squealed.

"MY BABY!!!!" She hurried back in her room & next thing you know, she was coming down the stairs into the kitchen. "Gimme, gimme, gimme!!" She took Kayden from Diggy.

Kayden squealed & kicked her legs.

We laughed.

"Where's Russ?" Dig asked her.

"At a friend's house." She told us. "He won't be back until tomorrow."

Diggy nodded & sat on the sofa.

"Mommy?"

I looked over at Miley walking in, rubbing her eyes.

She gasped.

"DIGGYYYY!!!" She ran & jumped on him.

"Woah.." He chuckled, then kissed her head. "Hi."

"Hey Jay."

I smiled.

"Hey cutie."

She giggled, then looked at Mama J.

"Mommy, who is that?"

"Her names Kayden.." Diggy told her. "She's your niece."

"I have another niece?"

He nodded.

Then I felt something pulling at me. I looked over at Kayden & she started to whimper.

I smiled & took her from Mama J.

"By who?"

"Your brother.." Mama J said, sitting next to her.

She looked over at Diggy.

Miley looked at him, then stormed off.

"MILEY!" Dig yelled after her.

"LEAVE ME ALONE!!" She yelled back, then I heard a door slam.

I sighed.

"Way to go, Daniel!" I said, rolling my eyes at him. "Not even two seconds and she always hates my baby!"

"Ahora no, Jaylin!" {Not now, Jaylin!} He snapped & ran up the stairs. "Miley!"

It was quite for a little while, aside from Diggy & Miley yelling at each other. Then Mama J decided to start up a conversation.

"Did you have fun in DR?" She asked.

I smiled & nodded.

"Yes ma'am."

"¿Qué coño es ella enojada para? No es como yo soy la persona que dio a luz a ella." {What the hell is she mad for? It's not like I'm the person who gave birth to her.} I heard mumbling.

I looked back at Diggy walking in, shaking his head. Miley was trailing behind him.

"Poco chica mejor una copia de seguridad fuera de mi hija!" {Little girl better back up off my daughter!}

"DANIEL!" I snapped in my deep Dominican accent.

He shook his head & sat down, taking Kayden from me. Miley sat beside him.

"You wanna hold her?"

She nodded softly.

Diggy gently sat Kayden in her lap.

"Tiene que dejar!" {You need to stop!} I told him. "Esto va a ser nuevo para todos. Sólo dale un poco de tiempo. Bueno?" {This will be new for everyone. Just give it a little time. Okay?}

He nodded.

I understand that Diggy is very protective over Kayden, but Miley is his little sister....his baby. She doesn't care to share any of her siblings, except Diggy. She refuses to share him with anybody, even Mama J....they fight over him every chance they get cause he's never home. But how do you think I feel? We have a child for fuck sakes!!

Then I heard the front door open.

We all snapped our heads towards the door.

"SHIT!" Diggy & I mumbled, under our breath as Russy walked in.

"Sup everybody?"

"I thought you weren't coming back until tomorrow?" Mama J asked.

He shrugged.

"I had a feeling something bad was gon happen, so I came home." He said, looking at Miley & Kayden. He smiled. "Who's the cutie?"

"Your niece..."

His smile dropped as he looked at Diggy, then me.

I held my head down.

He chuckled, then walked upstairs.

"RUSS!!" Mama J called after him.

I sighed.
