Arthur's POV:
"Dad!! I'm going to hang out with Bryn and Colby and see cousin Emiliee!! I promise I'll be back in 2 hours! I love you, I'll be safe!" A 15 year old Kyra called out to her father.
"Okay, hun! See you in a few hours!" Arthur hollered back as he sat down next to Nalia.
"That girl is something else." Nalia giggled.
"You're telling me." Arthur chuckled.
Kyra's POV:
My portal opened up and I stepped through it to find myself standing about 50 feet from the edge of the woods in a small clearing. I make sure that my portals stay hidden and that they're not open for more than 10 seconds or it'll cause the entire multiverse to collapse in on itself and no one wants that.
I emerge from the woods to find Colby and Bryn about 10 feet away, wrestling in the dirt. Oh boy. Now I gotta find out why the fuck they're wrestling in the dirt AGAIN. Here goes nothin'.
"Oi! Shit biscuits!! What the hell happened now?!" I shouted over them.
"UGH!! Colby took my choker necklace and gave it to his prissy little girlfriend! It was my favorite choker too!!" Bryn punched Colby in the face one last time and then got up, dusting herself off.
"Colby? Is this true?" I asked, not phased by their antics in the least.
"What?! No! Ruby doesn't even like chokers!! But does Bryn listen when I tell her that? No!!" Colby rolled his eyes.
"For fucks sake you two! Bryn? Did you check the water bottle pockets on both sides of your backpack?" I asked her.
Bryn silently walks over to the bench and checks the pockets pulling her choker necklace out of the right side pocket.
"Yep. Just as I thought. Now let's get to Auntie Jill's house and do our 1 hour study session. I have to see my cousin today before I go home." I said.
"Oh right! Let me know how Emiliee and Kookie are doing will ya? I haven't seen them in ages." Colby said.
"Sure thing, hun. How is Auntie Jill by the way?" I asked.
"She's angry baking today. Some guy called her a 'dumb bitch' today and then she got pulled over by state patrol who had mistaken her for a different lady they're after who has the same car." Bryn said.
"Oh jeez. Poor Auntie Jill. Well at least we get a dessert buffet for dinner!" I laughed.
"Did you hear what happened 3 weeks ago?" Bryn asked.
"No. What happened 3 weeks ago?" I asked.
"Mom had a meeting with the faculty that Wednesday to discuss her and one other person becoming the new principal and they told her she had to decide if she wanted the position by Monday the following week. She wasn't sure so she came home and started procrastibaking and finally made her decision an hour before she left for school that Monday morning." Colby replied.
"Holy Jear Desus. Gotta love Auntie Jill and her baking!" I giggled.
"Sweet! We're here! Monster cookies and cheesecake, here I come!!" Bryn excitedly ran up the front steps.
"MOOOOOOM!! WE'RE HOME!!" Colby and Bryn called from the front entryway.
"ME TOO!!" I called out.
"Kyra!! Is that you, sweetie?! Come give your Auntie Jill a hug! It's been so long since I last saw you! How are you? How are your parents? I hope you all have been well!" Auntie Jill practically flew around the corner, zipping past Colby and Bryn.
