Dear Alex - Part One - Charlotte

I'm Charlotte. I've always been the shy girl. The girl that no one takes a look at. I'm not at thin as the other girls..well fat for a lack of better words, I can barely do my makeup, and I've never been comfortable in my skin. I work behind a desk all day taking calls from complaining patients about medication. Soo you can only imagine my luck with guys. I'm not saying I don't think about them or anything, but it's not easy to meet guys and when I do they're never my type. I know I know, you're probably thinking a big girl turning down guys? But I'm looking for the feeling that I read about; you know you read all these books and the girls get this feeling in their body that makes them feel hot..I never had that. Yet. My end of year fantasy is to meet my patient crush. What's a patient crush? I'm glad you asked. Every month for the past year I've been emailing a patient who requests medication. Alex, Alex Jefferson. There's something so different about him, he's always so sweet in emails when he requests refills. Sometimes I'll email him promotional deals just to talk to him a bit more. We've had side emails that have turned into text messages for the past year. I've learned..well gathered..a lot of information this way. He plays basketball, he's very funny, and seems like the sweetest guy. The only problem is he lives 500 miles a way so I've never gotten to see him in person. I can never muster up the courage to FaceTime him because I don't want him to see how chubby I am but one day. This past month I emailed Alex to ask about his monthly refill since I hadn't heard from him.

I haven't seen a request for refill. Just got a bit worried about you. I wouldn't want all your muscles to disappear on those needy girls. Just let me know how I can help.

Very soon after, I got a chime on my computer, it's my special notification sound just for him.

Well Charlotte, antsy pants, I was waiting to tell you. Buuuut I'm actually going to be coming to town in two days and can come and pick it up in person. I've been waiting to tell you!! I know it's been a year of me saying this but for real this time! And I'll show you what muscles really look like in person and you won't even think of disappearing pretty girl.

Alex always talked about his baby cousin who he never got to meet living near our store. His mom surprised him with tickets and he's finally getting to meet him but more importantly meet me! He's coming to the store in two days to pick up his medication..in person, did I mention that already?! Now I'm having a serious panic. IN PERSON?! Should I get my hair done? Should I do my makeup, or something?! He always calls me pretty girl but I know he's just a sweetheart but maybe I can really make him think that. He's the only guy who's ever really had my insides all hot and bothered..maybe I should get a wax. Thinking of his chest against my breasts, wait wait who am I kidding. He's just a guy picking up his medication.
