I got dressed and left the locker room to find the others. I headed towards the lobby because I could hear voices from that direction, and eventually, I found them there. They were sitting in the armchairs, chatting while waiting for me.
"Hey, Milla." - Carlos' eyes lit up seeing me. He immediately stood up from his chair to come closer and took my bag from my hand to carry it for me. - "Okay gentlemen," - he turned to Charles and Andrea - "thank you for the game, and don't worry, next time Milla and I will let you win." - he grinned and winked at me at the end.
"No next time for me, thanks." - Charles said without even looking up from his phone.
"Someone doesn't handle defeat very well." - Andrea quipped, glancing at him while laughing.
Charles took a deep breath and was about to retort, but Carlos interjected. - "Okay, we're leaving now before you start up what you were doing on the court again." - he gave Charles a look, then walked up to Andrea to shook his hand.
I followed Carlos with a wide smile - "I'm glad I got to know you."
"Me too, I hope you'll join us again sometime." - Andrea came over to me and, as a goodbye, gave me two kisses on the cheek.
Charles also stood up to shake hands with Carlos. After that, he turned towards me, but didn't say or do anything. I tried to read his face, to figure out what he wanted, but it was impossible.
I remained silent as well while my thoughts raced.
I was thinking about how much I hate his attitude and his inability to behave like a normal person. That he was the reason I had to come here and I couldn't tell Carlos about my real feelings. And what was even more frustrating is that he stood close enough for me to smell his scent. I didn't know what to say, but I didn't really want to say anything. It was hard to admit, but the only thing I wanted was to continue what we had started in the locker room. To finally end this torture in me and satisfy my body's craving.
"Shall we?" - Carlos offered his hand to me to break the awkward silence.
I was so zoned out that I suddenly startled, but I quickly snapped back to reality. I smiled at him and wrapped my arm around his, signaling that we could go.
As we headed towards the door, I glanced back at Charles. He was looking at me, but the moment our eyes met, he turned away and started talking to Andrea.
I was left alone with Carlos and I had no idea what to expect or how I should behave. It was fun to flirt with him in front of Charles, but I didn't think I would end up by his side because of my own stupidity.
However, there was no coming back.
Eat what you've cooked, Kamilla.

We had been on our way home for a while, but complete silence filled the car. It was the first time we were alone, and though for different reasons, it seemed like neither of us knew how to deal with the situation.
