After receiving word of particularly troublesome brothers making their ways back to a small town called Mystic Falls, Alura Lyndon decided to pay the two a visit. Alura had been in and out of the town herself for quite a few years now, and she had an inkling the two brothers were about to have a repeat of history. Alura, wasn't exactly what we'd call human, though she did look it. She also wasn't exactly all vampire. No, Alura was a species all her own. Not even she knew what she was truly capable of.
Before she knew it, Alura was driving passed the Welcome to Mystic Falls sign and headed down Maine St. The town hasn't changed much, with its old architecture and never changing prominent families. She nearly scoffed at the cliche that was the Mystic Grill as she parked the car.
Alura knew the Salvatore brothers just as well as she knew herself, maybe better than she knew herself honestly. One thing was for certain, when looking for the raven haired brother, you check the local bars first.
Upon entering the grill, she was met with the scents of cheap bar food and liquor. The same smells as any bar she'd been in before. Glancing around, she noticed that raven hair at the bar, exactly where she'd predicted he'd be.
"Day drinking has never been a good look on you Damon." Alura stated in her familiar British accent, catching his attention.Looking to his right, the man's eyes widened in shock. "Alura, you're the last person I expected to see in this bar tonight. I thought you were busy partying in New Orleans." He hadn't expected his best friend to appear at his side, especially when he knew she had been busy and staying under the radar for years. She hadn't made time to see him in months. Of course he had wondered about her reasoning for picking a supernatural hot spot like New Orleans as a place to lay low. It seemed counterintuitive in his eyes, but figured the girl knew what she was doing.
"Well I mean... I was, but then I heard you and dear Steffy were here and I thought things might get ugly. Figured I'd check in." Alura, having known the brothers since before they turned knew the two didn't get along. Especially with their doppelgänger filled past.
Damon grimaced before finishing his drink. "Everything's peachy. " He stated sarcastically, making the girl laugh. Truth be told things weren't going too well for him. His ex was alive, and now wreaking havoc in his life, he was unfortunately in love with his brothers girl... not to mention he had his questions regarding a specific family in town. Now with all of this going on, he was relieved to see his best friend, but suspicious about her timing. Her showing up directly after Katherine, whom she used to be close with. That was worth questioning.
"I'll take that as you're happy to see me." Alura smiles.
"As always, what would I do without my partner in crime?"
After being filled in on the recent drama, the duo decided to head over to the Boarding House. Damon had figured she would be staying with him, she did have a permanent room that he was aware she had been using occasionally over the years.———————
[Salvatore Boarding House]
Damon was pouring drinks out of a blood bag when Stefan arrived. "Care for one?" He offers his brother, knowing well that his brother would decline. Stefan Salvatore had a bit of a blood lust issue, as in once he started he couldn't stop. It took him years to learn to control himself and still he struggled. She didn't necessarily agree with an animal based diet, but at least he was getting somewhere. Alura had helped him in the past, stepping in when her good friend Lexi had requested her presence. Now that Lexi was no longer amongst the living, it was going to be harder if Stefan lost control again. Alura remembered the phone call the night of her death. One friend killing the other, wasn't something she was expecting to hear.
"No, thank you. I'm not hungry, just ate." Stefan declines, as expected. He hadn't taken notice to the girl on the couch quite yet, preoccupied by his brothers smug smirk.
