As I follow my friends through the forest my nerves increase to the point I can't focus on the conversation around me. I feel as if we're being watched. I glance around seeing things move in my peripheral vision. Someone places a gentle hand on my shoulder making me jump.
"Hey, are you alright? You seem like you're on high alert?" Kat says in a quiet tone.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just seeing stuff." I respond calmly.
"Okay. Don't worry though, Sam and I have been here so many times. Okay?"
"Yeah" I respond hesitantly not trusting the darkness around us.
We keep walking along a small track that leads us to an old abandoned building. By the size of it I guess it's an old factory of sorts. The five boys trudge over to one of the broken windows motioning for us to follow. I hesitantly follow Kat with Devyn following behind with similar hesitation.
When we reach the boys Sam and Colby were waiting inside to help us whilst Elton, Jake, and Corey waited outside to help. Once we were all inside the shadows became more frequent. They were standing in doorways in an almost mocking manner before disappearing. Kat and Devyn kept making sure I was alright which I respond with "I'm okay".
About an hour after we arrived I felt a warmth along my right shoulder. I thought one of the boys were standing there but as I turn I see a dark mist in the form of a man. I done the only thing I thought of. I screamed.
The boys ran over forming a protective circle of sort around me and the girls. I glance at the warmth that I still felt on my shoulder. There was a small speckle of blood seeping into my shirt. Colby looked at me and realised what happened. He instantly rolled up my shirt to have a better look. The warmth was from three large scratches that reach from my the top of my right shoulder to the lower section of my left shoulder blade. The deepest section on my shoulder was patched up by Colby who seemed to be calmer now that I was patched up. The boys decided they wanted to stay longer whilst us girls wanted to leave.
The five boys convinced us girls to stay but the three of us stuck close to the boys. Colby, Sam, and Corey constantly looked back to make sure Kat, Devyn, and I were doing okay. But the longer I stayed the more the shadows were appearing. It got to a point where I told the girls and they helped convince the boys to leave.
The boys saw the desperation in my eyes and finally agreed to leave. When we all turned to the exit a man was standing there with a top hat on. I looked at the group and saw Corey just as scared as I was. No one else could see it except me and Corey.
"We are going to a different exit" both Corey and I said at the same time. Everyone looked confused. I looked back towards the exit and didn't see the figure there anymore. I looked at Corey confused.
"Let's get out of here" at Corey's words everyone sprinted through the exit, into the woods and back to the cars. As we arrived we saw police vehicles with police surrounding our cars. All of the police looked over at all of us with confused faces. One of the men approached us asking if we're okay. I felt so overwhelmed with all the flashing lights and the long run I passed out.
