In this world magic is abundance, you can learn anything from Simple Flight magic, cleaning magic, teleportation magic, to even making the heavens bend with your magic. The only limit is the magic you're aware of and your creativity, sounds fun right. It would be if conflict wasn't frequent like the one I found myself in. He was 5'2 dark elf, blonde hair, with the fiercest orange eye's looking at me. I'm a 6'4, black man, black hair, dark brown eyes. He drew his sword and it was mere inches from my face within seconds, I dodged it roll back into an old man who was tall in build, with a long gray beard that protruded from out his hood. "My fault. I did see you there you okay." I said as the old white man grabbed my hand.
"I'm fine young man but I have a feeling you're gonna need this." He said as he put a deck of cards in my hand. "These are magic cards use them wisely..." as he left.
"Hey I'm not done with you get back over here and fight me!!" The dark elf said as he ran to attack me.
"Look I really didn't see you, you walked fast and you was in my blind spot." I said as I clipped cards on my waist band and dodging as he slashed at my chest.
"Are you calling me small?" He said as he got angrier and he slash at my feet and flipped away but he followed up with a jumping down slash. I kicked his sword reflecting him back.
"No, but I'm not losing my life cause of this." I said as drew a card.
"Fire ball. To use simply say the name. Once used place back in deck, and it will be recharged." The card read.
"Fire ball!" I said as I raised the card and I felt my energy transfer into the card. Fire ball formed in front of the card and shot at him and he jumped out the way.
"So you know enchantment magic, and fire magic. I thought there's going to be easy fight, thanks for making it interesting." He said.
"I don't know enchantment magic, that was just my normal strength. I didn't use any strength behind that kick, or your sword would have broken." I said as he ran me.
"Lies..." he said as he swung his sword and I kicked it breaking it into pieces. "...ugh what... th-tha-th-that impossible."
"I don't cap. What dose that mean? I don't know." I said as I left him there in a total disarray of the situation. I was heading to the magic school because I was supposed to be taking the transfer test to enter the school. I made it there at the last minute. I was able to enter the test area without any problems. There was a lot of people around my age, they was all practicing there spells. So to prepare myself self I read the other instructions on the deck.
"By infusing your magic into the deck you will be able to rotate cards around you as many as you need or want, and they will auto replace themselves." The deck said as I tried it out and 10 cards came out.
"Cool I think I got the hang of this." I said as someone weird guy started laughing at me. "What's so funny?"
"Use can only use 10 cards at a time that pathetic, I can use 20 cards without struggling." He said as he did so.
"That's neat but I was just testing it out. Now let's see what happens when I release my magic binds." I said release my magical energy as the area got quiet. I started flowing and 62 cards came out from the deck and started rotated around me. "Now who looks pathetic?"
"Well that's some mighty fine magic there" the old man from earlier said as he came from behind me. I resealed my energy and the card placed back in the deck.
"Thank you, who are you?" I said as he took off his hood and I could see his one blue and one green eye and Silver hair.
"It's the Grandmaster!" Someone said.
"What is he doing here?" Someone else said.
"Hi everyone, I'm one of the over seeker of the test today. I'm not gonna lie, one of you is already standing out do to background and your contribute to the kingdom." He said.
"What I haven't done anything for the kingdom, or have I?" I thought to myself.
"The oldest son of the prestigious Walthour family, The weather wizard Roguest Walthour." He said as a light peered from the clouds illuminating a Black man, with golden hair, with brown eyes, standing about 6 feet. "Then there another young man here because of special recommendation. I'm sure he no introduction but I shall try to do him just. He was a a wandering spirit that had no direction, but then your lovely teacher Larry Hennession saw potential in him."
"Oh This one is me, that other guy is pretty interesting. Should I do something cool too." I thought to myself. "Flight."
"Kai He's not from a noble family, but his intelligence and his magic energy is fierce alone." The Grandmaster said.
"But he uses basic magic, how is he special?" Someone said.
"Well you can test your self against him now, the test is basically all out brawl. We only have two openings, so good luck to everyone." He said as he teleported out. I felt so much hostile energy pointing at me, and people started walking towards me.
"Just come at me and stop pussyfooting." I said as I got in a boxing stance.
"Frost giant attack!" Someone said as I dodged the punch from the giant yeti get under him and uppercut him breaking him apart. Then kicked his caster knocking him out.
"He's using enhancement magic." Someone said.
"No that my strength, I didn't enhancement myself. Why does everyone think I'll using that?" I said.
"What? He lying." Someone else said.
"No cap." I said as I stumped breaking the ground up beneath us knocking out 17 people. "I don't no why but that feels right to say." As 30 of my cards came out. "Anyone else want to fight me?"
"I will. I'm Ned Clark eldest son of the Clark family, and I've mastered ice and lightning magic." Ned said. He was a blonde hair and blue, white man, that stood 5'10.
"Cool that a lot of talking, that get to action." I said as I broke out the ice he placed on my shoes. "I hope that wasn't your hold plan." As I was behind him. "Earth shackles. This is Sparta." As I kicked him in the back throwing him to the wall. "Next?" As I saw Roguest finish off the last person.
"What do we do now?" He said as he walked to me.
"There are four people remaining." The Grandmaster said as we looked around.
"Should we fight each others?" Roguest said as I felt shadow magic.
"That would be a waste, we can fight each other while we attend school together. Shadow gate!" I said as I went to the the shadow world, seeing two people hiding. I kick them out the shadows, knocking them out. The jumped out myself.
"Well I guess you was right that's everyone. I didn't want to fight you, you beat most of them with your physical strength alone." Roguest said as the Grandmaster walked toward us.
"To be honest, we was hoping you two would fight." A professor said as they followed behind the Grandmaster.
"That's obvious, especially since you tried to hype us up at the beginning." I said as I cracked my neck.
"You two are really strong for kids your age, we was just curious." One of the professors said.
"We came here to pass, plus if we duel while at school we could easily get better." Roguest said.
"I want to take a nap now, my head hurts and my back is in pain. Someone hit me in the back with a rock, this was my first time using so many magic spells." I said.
"You used like 5 spells today?" One of professors said.
"To release and conceal my magical energy is also a spell, so I did like 9 spells." I said as I felt someone use fire magic. "Wind shield!" As fire ball hit my air wall.
"Interesting he has magic sense, I used magic without a incantation. What other abilities do you have?" One the other professors said.
"You could have asked, I also have copy abilities. If someone else throws a spell at me I'm going punch you as if you're my enemy." I said as I released my blood lust. "I want to sleep now." As I cooled down.
"Okay we are just gonna test your magic affinity." The Grandmaster.
"Isn't my magic affinity everything if I can copy." I said.
"Not exactly you'll learn more about this in my class. You gonna be your home room professor, I'm Johnny Excelyon. People normally call Professor Ex." Professor Ex said as we teleport to a different room.
"Was that instead casting?" I said.
"No Space Magic is not like other magic, you have to controlling a area completely. Of course this a rare magic, so I used a scroll to teleport us here." Professor Ex said as a crystal ball floating down to us.
"Pass your mana through the crystal ball, and we will be able see tell your affinity." Grandmaster said as Roguest put his hand over the ball and it changed 6 different colors. "Oh wow 6 different affinity fire, water, earth, wind, lightning, and ice."
"That's to be expected, I want to see Kai affinity. We all knew my affinity." Roguest said as I touched the ball. It changed 5 different colors but 2 colors wasn't.
"Wow fire, lightning, wind, shadow, and space magic. Two rare magics that not nearly anyone can use. Incredible, we have discovered two gems." The Grandmaster said.
"Well that was obvious, after we got introduced and everyone else didn't." I said as my stomach growled.
"Oh my, he has an appetite on him. No surprise, he's a strong young man." A female professor said.
"Can I try using my teleport spell?" I said.
"You was able to copy the scroll by seeing the spell once?" Professor Ex said as I teleported around the room.
"Well of course, I can imagine how to use it and just do it. I can see a spell's pentagram and I can easily use it, plus I have an affinity for it." I said as I stopped teleporting.
"Why did you stop teleporting?" Grandmaster said.
"My card are refilling, so I need a second or two. I did use the last spell without the card but it felt weird." I said.
"Amazing, he can use Freeform magic. I don't think many can do that, I can tell you will probably starting that more aren't you." The female professor said.
"Well that's true but I need to eat and sleep first. I used too many spells now for real, I'm about to..." I said as I started falling.
"𝓕𝓵𝓸𝓪𝓽!" Grandmaster said as I floated over the ground. "He's mighty hungry let take him to dinner hall."
"I can walk..." I said as I got to my feet. "I am a man I have to stand on my own feet."
"Oh my such ferocity from a young man of your caliber." The female professor said as followed them to the dinner hall. "You'll sit in the front row cuz we be calling you up soon. Don't get too full, but eat as much as your heart desires."
"Thank you ma'am." I said as I sat down and ate for a good minute , then the scent of vanilla filled the room. A pale skin white girl with half scarlet and black hair, stand about 5'3 came into the diner hall. "Who is that?"
"Oh her, she a vampire. I don't think you should mingle with her, but she is from a royal family of vampire." Roguest said as I saw her sit and eat strawberries.
"I can just introduce myself to her?" I said as started walking towards her but people started filling in the dinner hall. I went back to my sit and waited to be called up. Roguest and I discussed the class we are excited to take.
"I, grandmaster Ezekiel Tobias Cromwell the 6th, am proud to announce our two new student wizards starting there first year. They are starting after our first semester, but they are prepared jump in and not hinder the classes. I do not feel qualified to speak of such acclamations of these two individuals, so I will let them introduce themselves. First, introducing the young weather wizard Roguest Walthour the 3rd." Grandmaster said as Roguest got out his seat and I heard all the girls murdering about how cute he looks.
"Hello ladies and gentlemen, I am now here to be treated special. I am here to gain knowledge and sharpen and polish my skills and become the best wizard that I can become. I hope to help make new discoveries and help usher in a new Era for Magic. I hope you all can welcome me in with open arms." He said as everyone started clapping. "I would like to introduce my new friend Kai." As I teleported behind.
"Thanks Roguest, kinda hard to follow behind that. I knew what you're thinking, this commoner is 'quote unquote' special, it could be his rare affinity for teleportation that makes it special. It could be his ability to copy any spell by looking at it being cast, or it could be his ability of mana sense. Who knows but who cares, I'm here to be something bigger than myself. I'm not here to get a fancy name or become untouchable or anything else stupid to that nature. I'm here to better myself, and push for it to a brighter future. I wish to be friends with all you, but I know I'll make a ton of enemies. Therefore, I would warn you do not become my enemy, because I am 𝕄𝔼ℝℂ𝕀𝕃𝔼𝕊𝕊 𝕋𝕆 𝕄𝕐 𝔼ℕ𝔼𝕄𝕐." I said as I release my bloodlust at everyone in the dinner hall and I got extremely quiet. "I wish I have a lovely year with all of you, and make a ton of friends." as I cut the tension and everyone took a sigh of relief and went back to my seat.
"Well as I said they are special individuals that I am not qualified to introduce." Grandmaster said as I looked over at the vampire girl and she was eat a tomato. We made eye contact and her black eyes turned red and became visual daggers, so I lost my gaze from her. "I would like to wish you all you a good night, and dream new beautiful future." as paper appears in front of me.
"Kai your is in the dormitory on the 7 floor room number 1021. There you find you class schedule and student ID, and a little gift for me. Sincerely, Grandmaster Ezekiel Tobias Cromwell." The note read as I looked around for the vampire girl, but she was nowhere in site. I teleported out the dining hall and looked for the dormitories, it took me 20 minutes but I found the dormitory.
"I'm so tired and my body is aching..." I said as I made it to my room.
"Are you following me, you creep?" I heard a girl say.
"Huh..." I said as I saw the vampire girl standing right behind me. "If anything you're following me, and I'm not feeling well. I'ma just go in my room, hope to never see you again." As I stepped in my room and closed the door behind me.
"Hey come back out here and..." she said as I opened the door aggressively walked out the door.
"What fight you? If I fight you, I gonna..." I said as she grabbed me.
"Why do you smell so delicious?" She said as she looked at me like a piece of me. "I mean..." as she whipped the drool off her mouth. "Who are you?"
"Were you not paying attention at the dining hall." I said.
"Not really, I was deep in my mind talking with my spirits. You're one of the new students cool, so why were you staring at me afterwards?" She said.
"I saw you when walked in and wanted to talk to you then but everyone started coming in the dining hall." I said.
"What am I the first vampire you've seen? What's your name?" She said.
"You are the first vampire I've seen, but I'm not telling you my name." I said as stepped back in my room.
"Hey come back here, I wasn't done questioning you." She said as she was stopped by a force field.
"Wow barrier magic?" I said as another girl walked up. She was a dark elf with blue highlights in her hair and emerald green eyes, standing about 5'4.
"Not really vampire can't enter a bedroom without being invited in." She said.
"Cool good to know." I said.
"I'm take her away. Willo bring your ass on, you'll see him in class tomorrow." She said as she dragged her to her room.
"Finally I can get some sleep..." I said as I collapse on the bed and drifted off to sleep rather quickly.
