Nora POV

We walked out of the portal and we all cleared the entry fights like nothing. Even if we hadn't I think we would have still gone in to watch Martin.

He didn't have a choice😂

So we headed into town. There were merchants and food stands just like last year and I noticed two people I saw were wearing similar colors which isn't always unusual since some try to represent their families or others just have different traditions than others.

We went to the hall of past champions where we saw our great grandfather Master Yosi, and our grandfather Master Splinter next to him was Michelangelo, then Master Leonardo, and Martin.

The Daimyo walked next to him, his wife, Alidora, and then to the gyoji. They greeted us warmly and said he was happy that we had decided to compete in this competition.

I noticed that Alidora was wearing the color red and greenish blue instead of her usual golden-yellow color. She noticed I was curious and explained.

Every half century warriors wear the colors that represent a loved one or someone who is the reason there.

For example, if you're married you would wear your spouse's colors. If you're not married you would wear your parents or Master's colors alongside your own.

Which is why she is wearing red and green alongside her gold. Since that's what the Daimyo usually wears and she is married to him.

In which case me and my brothers looked out of place. Alidora said she would help us get set up properly if we were to compete along with Mom.

My Uncles just wore their brown belts and their normal mask colors. It was my brothers and my mom that had a big change.

I went from wearing a navy blue T-shirt and black jeans to wearing the same jeans a dark purple shirt for my parentage, blue shoulder armor to show Leo as my Master, And my staff had a red ribbon tied around it instead of a blue one to show my purpose being the same as Raphs and I had an orange hair tie holding up my hair in a ponytail to show my placement in my family as the youngest even though my hair tied up barely brushed my shoulder.

All together with my sky-blue mask. Alidora let me choose a yellow pendant to put in my hair to represent my other parent, my mother.

Martin was also fit in a purple shirt for our father with blue pads for his knees for our Master, dark blue pants for his placement and an orange pendant to represent his purpose and to represent the past champion Mikey. Of Course, he wore his own Sun Yellow mask

Tyler got a Teal shirt and the handle of his spear had a Red ribbon on it instead of it's normal Green he also had on dark blue jeans for Leo as well and since Tyler is the leader they gave him blue wraps for his hands and Purple for his placement since he was the second oldest. Though he didn't think it was a very good color despite the tradition. He still worse his Forest Green Mask

Riley wore a Red shirt for his Raph his dad and was given trick gloves that had single blades come out of them if needed in a teal color, they gave him blue pants for Leo he also had a Red ribbon tied around his weapon for his placement.

I thought it would be cool for them to do something different for his clothing, so I asked Riley for his normal Red mask. I stitched Purple fabric to the ends, a trick my mom's mother had taught me when I was small.

The Purple represents him having the same brain as my dad so where better to wear the purple than on his head. I gave him back his mask and he thought it was a good addition.

My mother looked beautiful. She was wearing a sun Yellow shirt and light blue jeans to represent me and my brother which I thought was sweet even though she always wore a yellow shirt. Alidora had given her a sort of head ref with Purple and Grey shaped leaves to represent my dad and the Grey for her father since here he was considered a warrior. Even though he never fought in the Nexus.

We were all ready for the competition to start. We stayed the night and Riley told me in private that he couldn't help but feel like there were eyes around us. Even though we were the only ones that had arrived.

I felt it two and admittedly we kept our hands on our weapons for the remainder of the day
