He watched the apartment day and night, sleeping fitfully when they did, always ready to follow either of them at a moment's notice. He knew what he wanted to do, what he needed to do. She left first the day he decided to move forward. He didn't hesitate, but followed her, stopping where she did, moving when she moved. She drove into a parking garage and emerged from her car a moment later staring down at her phone as she headed toward an elevator. Really, she was making it too easy.

He stalked behind her, keeping a wary eye out for anyone else in the garage. But it was mid-morning and everyone who needed to be in this office building was already there. Too, too easy. She kept her head down a second too long and he seized his chance. Speeding up, he brushed past her knocking into her side knocking her off balance to the ground. She let out an annoyed cry as she tried to right herself but he was already there, looming over her. She saw his face then, her eyes widening in terror. Good, let her be afraid. Feeding on it, he reached for her, viciously yanking her arm upwards,

She tried to fight, raining flailing kicks and small punches at him, while yelling for help. He was prepared for her though. He yanked her against him, twisting her arm behind her and slapping his hand over her mouth. She struggled trying to free herself as he dragged her back to his car. She almost freed herself from his grip when he bent to open the trunk. Today was not her lucky day though. He was still stronger and faster.

With a violent shove, he pushed her into the trunk throwing a frustrated punch at her temple. Her head rocked violently from the hit and she crumpled against the floor of the trunk. Making sure no one had come running, he took a brief moment to put handcuffs on her before slamming the trunk closed and climbing into his car. He walked back to where she had fallen and snagged her purse and phone. Wouldn't do to leave those lying around. So far, so good, he thought darkly returning to the car with a trace of a smile. There was plenty more left to do but having her was just the beginning.
