Ranch Hand Romance

The meeting

As I walked on in my room I saw a big pile of boxes and I called for my mom. She popped up from behind a pile of boxes and asked my why I screamed for her. I asked why there was so many boxes in my room and she said" You are going to live with your mom at her ranch with all her horses." I was thinking " oh great horses.". My mom always wanted my to start riding but I didn't ever really care for all the work and time it took for one. Then we hit the road to My moms house. I slept all the way there and drempt of me laying in my new bed ignoring everythingy mom told me to do.
It took us nearly 9 hours to get to my moms ranch. When I got out I was greeted with a fresh pile of horse crap. I was so mad because those were my brand new shoes. Then I met my mom she seemed nice then a horses walked up and I screamed and his behind my mom (grandma) she pushed me to meet the horse "his name is Danny " my mom said. I started thinking he seems nice also I started to think it may not be so bad after all. My mom took me into my new room witch actually was quite homey inside. I jumped on my bed it was really comfy it was lime green with horse heads all over it. All I could think was man she's a crazy horse lover.I said bye to my mom ( grandma) She said she was going to miss me . her and my mom exchanged a few words then she drove away. My mom walked up to me and told me that I was gonna have so much fun over the summer. I didn't believe her bit I just shook my head in agreement. We went inside and I met her fiance James he wasn't to bad looking. When we went back outside I got shocked by a electric fence cause I didn't know what it was. My mom just stood there and laughed so hard I thought she was going to faint. Just then James came out holding a halter and lead rope and he tolde to go catch Jack "the old man" I said that I didn't know how to so he gave me a quick tutorial on how to catch a horse. Where Jack was .I didn't exactly know how to catch him but I tried. When I walked in he ran away so I ran to him he stopped and I tied the halter on him and tried to walk jack back to James. When I finnaly got back to my mom and James, James told me to go get a saddle and a pad and a briddle I went to the tack room and grabbed what he told me to then he told me to tack up. And I just looked at him like he was crazy them he said don't you know how to ''No!" I said ubruptley.
Then he looked at me and took the stuff away threw it on the horse and told me to get on and ride. I refused to he picked me up and threw me on I almost peed my pants. All of a sudden the horse took off I grab on tight the he stopped in front of a bucket of water. He started bucking and I fell in the water. My mom ran over to me I got up and ran to my room and changed. That fall made me determined to ride that horse. I went back outside and walked over to the horse and climbed on and he started back ng this time I stayed on. He started to walk finally and I got the hang of it. James laughed a good laugh. When I was done I untacked the horse and ate some chips. My mom came into the room and told me to get off my butt and do some work. So I went to the barn and opened up the stall door and started mucking out the stall. Just as I grabbed the willbarrow to take to the next stall my phone rang me t was my nest friend Ashley she grew up with horses we met at summer camp. I found out that she lives just down the road. I went back to work then anotjer text." Hey wyd can you come over"was Ashley's question. I didn't know if I could so I went and asked my mom. She asked if I had finished all my chores. I said "yes" she said "OK" she told me to ride Danny over there I was really nervous but I did anyways I acutuly enjoyed it a lot. When I got to Ashley's she was running barrles. " hey!" She yelled. "Heyyy!" I said back she rode over to me and asked where i got the pony. I said" my mom" "I thought you lived with your grandma.'' I do" I replied. "Ohhh" she sounded so interested. She came out and we rode down the trail in the woods. We came up to a creek and Danny tried to jump Ashley told me to hold back and keep kicking him he didn't jump. 2 hours passed and it was time from me to go home. So me and Ashley raced back to her house then I left. When I got home my mom was waiting on me she had a disappointed look on her face. I walked Danny over to her she said "You forgot to water all the horses." "I'm so sorry!"I replied. So I went and did what she told me to. I went back inside and grabbed a drink walked back outside and went to Danny he was laying in the field. He looked so happy I was wishing he was acutully mine now even though I used to hate horses it only took me a few hours to fall in love with horses.
