Dead And Gone

Welp. I got kicked out.

Warning:Important character death and blood.

I plan to come out to my parents today. I know it's a bad idea but it's killing me keeping it from them. After dinner, my brother Dex goes to bed. I tell them the basics. Like, what pan means and stuff. They're in shock. Then finally my dad finally speaks. "Get. Out." His face reddens. 

I put my hands up in surrender, dying internally. "Okay. Fine." And so I grab my backpack that I already packed because I knew it was coming. Then a sharp pain bites at my arm and I pull back the sleeve to see a huge bloody gash. I gasp and run. I don't stop till I run into a guy with a goatee, holding a pixieish girl's hand. The girl wears a green dress and matching shoes. Her eyes are tinted green like her veins are filled with chlorophyll. She has reddish hair and reminds me of what I imagine a nymph to look like in Greek mythology. I apologize for running into the due and keep going on with life. The guy stops me with his arm.

"You're who we have been looking for,"he says. I side-eye him. "Kat, right?" I nod slowly. "I'm Grover. And this is Juniper. We need to take you to a safe place." 

Then, out of nowhere a girl jumped into sight and grabbed my shoulders and pulled me off my feet. She had pitch black eyes and black hair and a black dress. She wore a silver necklace bearing the letter 'B'. I felt like I was sinking into the ground. And then I saw milky white water. The girl looks me in the eyes. "Daughter of wisdom, you shall parish in the Styx by the hands of Bia. Bia will kill your before the gods do." 

The girl shoves my head into the milky water. Pain beyond imaginable floods every cell in my body. My eyes water. My head throbs. I'm on fire. Then I pass out.

I wake up to see a crying Juniper. And a dead Grover. I sit up. "What happened, Juniper?"

"He got killed by Bia. The girl who dipped you in the Styx. Goddess of power and force. She talks in third person." Juniper sobs. "Grover ran towards you, pulled you out of the Styx then Bia slit his throat from behind. I grabbed you to keep you from falling into the Styx and then Nico came." Juniper glances at an emo dude pacing around the clearing we're in.  "He shadow traveled us here." 

"Goddess. Styx. Shadow travel. My head hurts,"I groan. "What in the world is going on?"

"You're a demigod. Or half-blood. Bia called you a daughter of wisdom so I'm guessing you don't have to wait to get claimed and you're a daughter of Athena. "

"What the hell? I'm not a demigod. I'm a normal human. And those are myths. Don't get me wrong, I love mythology but I don't believe in it." 

"You have to believe it. We should get you to Camp. Nico, can you shadow travel us?" 

Some guy in a Greek chiton appears and snaps his fingers. I am now in a cave. Another guy in a Greek chiton holds up what looks like the sky. He drops it and it comes crashing down. I can't just let the sky fall. I hold my arms up to catch it. And the wait of the world crushes me but I can't let go. I can't do anything. I just kneel there. My muscles burn. I don't know how long I hold the sky. At some point, after a few hours of burning muscles, the sky guy comes back with golden chains. He chains my ankles to rocks. 

"Seriously, dude. I'm honored to be chained in gold and all but is it really necessary?" I gasp. He just leaves me there, struggling. It seems like days pass. Everyday is worse. I'm starving, tired. I'm dying. 

A/n:Short first chapter but yeah. Sorry about killing my dude Grover. Anywhooooo.
