(3rd POV)
It has been 4 weeks ever since that day, the day when Alex and Ashley entered a new chapter in their lives and Alex finally getting someone to socialize with.
Every now and then Alex could feel a shiver down his spine, as if he can feel a pair of eyes glimmering in the dark....
WATCHING HIM
But no matter how many times he shakes off the eerie feeling, it always comes back getting more intense with every return.
He often turns around whenever he feels like he was being watched and only to find nobody there at all. He felt like his days are being numbered, he feels unsafe and that there is no one to help.
As he cautiously walks through the hallway, he accidentally bumps into someone that recognized and feared ever since then.
"Well, well, well! If it ain't Alex! The little punk~" The male said in a threatening tone as he towers over Alex.
Alex recognized him as Barry Willbur"You really thought you can escape me do ya?" Barry said in a voice laced with venom as he lifts Alex by his collar and slammed him against the wall. He then syares him down scaring the smaller teen in the process.
"H-hey Barry! H-how are you this d-day?" Alex stuttered in fear.
"Nothing just seeing how my favorite goofball is doing~" He then got serious and looked at Alex in the eyes staring into his soul.
"You better watch out there Lil' guy, someone's out there. And. They. Want. You!" Barry then left a confused and scared Alex to his lonesome. He then looked at Barry confused.
'He isn't usually like this to me, something is off here.....' Alex thought to himself.
Then one of Barry's groupmates Jacob Weathers then approaches Alex with a slightly concerned look on his eyes.
"Watch your back bud, someone's out there! And they want you gone" Jacob said in a sincere tone, making Alex more scared.
Alex then rushed to his next class and continues the day still feeling the pair of eyes watching him.
He then packed his belongings as he prepares to go home. He saw Ashley talking to someone he doesn't recognize, and for some reason the person Ashley was talking to looks rather odd to Alex. He feels as if there is something that this mysterious person has that could threaten the young adult.
The man then looked at Alex with a devious smirk and his eyes staring deep to his soul.
Alex nervously gulped as he approaches Ashley and the stranger. He felt as if this man is going to kill him at any given moment.
"H-hey Ashley!" Alex stuttered as he gets embraced by Ashley. He then looks at the stranger and saw him scowl angrily at him for a brief moment. He thought he was seeing things so he brushed it off.
"So who is this guy?" Alex then gestures to the stranger who then adopted a cocky grin as he goes in front of Alex as he offers his hand for a handshake.
"Adam West! Nice to meet ya!" The stranger named Adam greeted with a false welcoming expression. As Alex grabs Adam's hand to give him a hand shake, Adam's grip is quite strong hurting Alex a little.
Ashely smiled happily, unaware of Adam hurting Alex with his seemingly friendly gesture.
As Adam and Ashley talked to each other, Alex stood there ignored again. He got used to being in Ashley's shadow and being left to be forgotten.
As Ashley then hugged Alex goodbye she then walked to the front gate to wait for her friends. As Alex tries to go after her, Adam then held his arm tightly, hurting the boy and said in a menacing voice.
"You better back off little boy. She is mine!" Adam said with lust as he looks at Ashley's hips swaying as she leaves with her friends. He then looks at Alex with anger and said.
"Don't even think about going away scott free, tomorrow is going to be the start of your personal hell~" Adam then yanked his grip away from Alex, as he walks away scaring the boy.
Alex then ran home, scared as to what would happen to him tomorrow, he realized that the pair of eyes watching him were Adam's and he is up to no good.
Alex then flopped down to his bed and passes out from exhaustion and fear.
Little did he know that Adam was right. Tomorrow is the start of a long painful journey for Alex.
