1980, The gang had come back from an interview. They went around meeting fans in their make up for a while. However, Gene started to feel uneasy, and that uneasiness became a more sickly feeling. After returning to hotel they were staying at, Gene retired urgently to his room, he wasn't seen for hours.

The others had noticed Gene looking someone sick, he looked dizzy amd dazed constantly. He'd swallow hard whatever burned his throat. The others watched and made sure he got to his room safely.

The three other bandmates, Paul, Ace and Eric had finally decided to go to their rooms too after many drinks and partying. Eric's room was next to Gene's.
"You think he's alright now?" Eric asked Paul.
Paul slowed down in his track to his own room, facing Eric.
"I'm sure he's fine now, probably asleep. You can check on him to make sure he ain't dead." Paul said nonchalantly, he then skipped off to his room.

Eric turned to Genes door again. He knocked.

"Gene??"

...

"Gene, you alright?"

...

Eric opens the door, there was a thick smell, a sickly smell of blood and vomit. His eyebrows furrowed at the stench, feeling concerned, he crept around the room.
"Gene?"
Eric saw that the bathroom door was open slightly.
"Gene?"

𝚐𝙰𝚛𝙶𝙻𝚎!

Eric's eyes widen at the sound, he immediately storms over to the door.
He opens it.
"Gene-"

There was blood all over the floor, a long trail of splatter blood, as if someone had a bucket of red paint a threw it up the wall in a sloppy manner. The smell was even worse, it smelled like rotting guts, and there was the culprit... sitting in the corner of the room, the was a path of blood infront of Gene from where he had ushered back from the toilet, from his lips to his legs he was drenched in blood. His eyes were bloodshot and deranged, he was heavily shaking.

"Oh shit!"
Eric was seconds away from rushing over to the man, but a sudden crackle in a sharp movement Gene made stopped Eric in his tracks.
Gene was on all fours, he stared at Eric for a second, breathing heavily. His breathing would hitch now and again as if in pain.

Eric didn't know what to do or say, he was afraid and concerned.

Moments later Gene let's out a loud and long piercing scream, it was like sand paper to his throat and more than likely caused more blood as it still was flowing down his lips. Eric backed out of the bathroom, it was probably the most smartest move he made that night as Gene attempted to lung at Eric. As concerned as Eric was, he could've see that the look in Gene eyes and movements that it wasn't a plead for help but some inhumane sign of aggressive behaviour. Eric slammed to door in his face, Gene tried to push through but Eric managed to shut the door. The was still holding the door back with all his strength. He wanted to scream, but he didn't know what, it didn't feel right to just scream. He let out a few yelps and groans of shock and fear but he didn't know whether to yell help, he wasn't sure if what was happening was even real anymore.

He was losing his strength against the taller man, who was practically throwing himself against the door. The only thing keeping Eric from holding Gene back the the amount of blood he lost.
Eric breaks down, he starts screaming.
"HELP! FUCKING HELP!"
His feet were slipping beneath him, with every boom of the  door the crack of the door opening got larger and larger.

A unseen hand had shot down and held the door back in place. It was Ace. Eric had just fallen all the way to the floor but his back was still pressing against the door.
"Grab that chair!" Ace yelled.
Eric crawls over and yanks the chair over, they put it under the door handle to Gene couldn't move the handle and open the door. A gargled roar of range could be heard muffled through the inside of the bathroom, and the banging stopped for a while.

Eric and Ace sit away from the door, Eric breathed heavily.
Ace looked over at Eric.
"I heard you scream and saw you holding that door back... what happened? What did he do?" He asked.

Eric swallowed and caught his breath.
"There's blood everywhere in there... he's vomited alot of it... I dont know... but he lunged at me... it wasn't as if he was desperate for help but... angry or something.... I got scared." His head hung down, feeling someone embarrassed for not being strong enough to have a better excuse.
Ace put his hand on Eric's shoulder, he could see in Eric's eyes that he had seen something traumatising.

"Hey... its okay..."
