I can't remember when it started. All I remember is how it started.
The first time it happens he will apologize immediately afterward. He will tell you that he's so sorry and that it will never happen again. He will tell you that he loves you and that he had been stressed. That he will try to do better he will promise.
And you believe him. You think that if wont happen again simply because he promised. You believe him because you love him.
And then he does it again. But this time it takes him a while to apologize to you. You look into his eyes and you see the rage 5 seconds longer then it should be. It's then that you realize that this won't be the last time. And that soon those five seconds will turn into thirty then sixty then it won't go away at all.
But you also see that you love him. That you can't live without him. You look at the three kids you have with him and it hits you.
You're trapped.
