Kindness does not go unrecognized,
And it's always remembered.
Good people can come from anywhere.
People CAN change (and often do).
Neither nature nor nurture have the last say.
People can learn from everyone and everything they encounter.
Even if two people have nothing in common with each other they can still occupy the same space happily.
Don't be afraid to be first.
Look after yourself/ advocate for yourself.
Sometimes hardship brings out community- sometimes it brings out individualism.
You can't judge a book by it's cover, or it's summary, or it's reviews, or it's first chapter.
Bookends can be moved in both directions, neither the beginning nor the end are ever fixed.
Sometimes it's harder to be silent than to speak your mind.
All this, and more, was learned in a day.
