Four weeks have passed into December since Ryan went to Manhattan Beach and transferred to a private school called Montessori Manhattan. Me and Ryan would talk almost every night and text throughout the school days. In fact, on the weekends Ryan would sometimes sneak out to my house. So that made every issue I felt about his departure become almost non-existent.

Winter break from school had started last week and Christmas just passed two days. My family celebrated Christmas together, including Nathan who brought Liana along and a couple extended family members from Texas arrived like my grandparents Joseph and Connie Jones, my two aunts Renee and Victoria, and my three uncles Joseph Jr., Larry, and Quincy with my cousins. On Christmas Eve, Nathan and I made up. Plus, he was moving back in next month so it was inexorable. Though, there still was this awkwardness and we were working on our relationship. Me and Naomi, however, couldn't make up for anything. I think it's absolutely ridiculous that she's still upset over what happened last month. At least, I put effort and I hope Naomi finds something within that'll make her forgive me. Next, Aaliyah and her family went to Shreveport, Louisiana to celebrate Hanukah together while eating up some delicious soul food. Talk about a Southerner's paradise. She wouldn't be back until January 3rd.

I got about seven gifts for Christmas, which was an IPhone 6, two books, two outfits, black Air Jordan's, and $200. And I thoroughly enjoyed each one of my gifts.

Since me and Ryan didn't get to spend Christmas together we decided to tonight would be the perfect night. My mom, Naomi, and Rachael wouldn't be home because they were doing an after Christmas charitable event at church that ran late every year. Then Ryan's family in Manhattan Beach would be oblivious of me being in their house, since I'd only be in Ryan's room.

So here I am now, waiting patiently for Ryan to pull up in his Jeep and distract me from my inner misery. My stomach has been cramping non-stop this whole day, so I think I'm going to lay off having sex with him tonight. He'll understand like I know he will.

Ryan's Jeep appeared in front of my house within two minutes; Ryan stepped out in black Nike sweater, sweat-pants, and slippers walking towards me.

As he reached me he gave me a quick peck on the lips while grabbing my bag out of my hands.

"Missed me?" Ryan whispered.

"You know I did."

We walked hand and hand to the Jeep. Ryan opened the back seat and placed my bag down. Then, he opened the passenger door for me and I got in fast. Now, Ryan was at the driver's side starting the engine.

"We'll be there in 30 minutes," he informed.

"Okay, no rush," I said, "I forgot to ask how the finals were for Montessori?"

"Tough," Ryan answered, "It was essays upon essays even for math. Then for Tongan class finals, the essays were in the language, but talking about where the language originations and languages similar to it. It was just too much. I guess that's what happens when you weren't taught in private schools your whole life."

"At least it's a great education system," I stated, "Better than what Carson could ever offer you."

"You're better at school than I am," he said.

"I am?" I asked.

"Yes," he declared, "You're a natural at everything you do, even sex."

I laughed, "You just couldn't help it."

My laughing didn't do anything to ease the pain of my cramps, it just made it worst. I rubbed my hand on my stomach and winced in pain.

Concern stretched upon Ryan's face, "What's wrong?"
