[A little girl named Liliana Bridget kept waking up her father late at night because of mommy. - Fiction]
Narrator: There she goes, the little girl named Liliana—
Liliana: "Who? me?" [Narrator] She blinked her eyes twice all at once, holding her handmade teddy against her chest.
Narrator: Why, yes, you. You can hear me?
Liliana: [Narrator] She nodded her head, her bottom lip quivered as she placed her chin on top of her teddies head. "I'm scared, sir.."
Narrator: Your mommy is in your room again?
Liliana: "Yes, sir.." She pouted, her eyes all glossy like a porcelain doll.
Narrator: Perhaps you should go to father, hm?
Liliana: [Narrator] She removed her chin from her teddies head, standing more upright as she nodded her head with some determination despite her quivering lip. She soon got on her way to her father's room, passing the windows where the moon would shine through.
Narrator: Liliana was soon at her—
Liliana: "Shhh..be quiet, sir, you will wake up father" [Narrator] She had her index finger up to her lips, quieting the 'sir'.
Narrator; Whispering: My apologies, miss Bridget.. I will be quiet..
Liliana: [Narrator: whispering] She balled her small hand into a fist and placed her knuckles up against the wood door. 1, 2, 3 knocks were placed upon the door. "Father?" She whispered softly, placing her hand onto the cold doorknob and twisted it until the door creaked open. "Father?" She repeated, peeking her head into the darkness of the room. "You awake, father?" She said a bit louder, stepping into the room. Her small feet against the floorboards made the room creak as she got closer to the bed.
Father: [Narrator: Whispering] He was fast asleep, his back against the soft mattress as his stomach faced the awry ceiling. His eyebrows twitched and went all twisted.
Liliana: [Narrator] "Faatheerrr," she said even louder as she was now right next to the bed. "Why must you be so far into sleep when mommy is at it again?" The little girl pouted, squeezing her teddy against her chest.
Father: [Narrator] He groaned as his eyes opened wide, "What is it now, girl?" He fumbled around in bed until he was sitting on the edge of the mattress. "Is it 'her' again?" Father rubbed his forehead and then his eyes to remove some of the gunk from his sockets.
Liliana: [Narrator] The little girl nodded her head fiercely, "yes, father, I can't sleep when mommy sings to me weird songs. I don't like it, father." She let out a soft sigh.
Narrator: Perhaps you should leave father alone, Liliana.
Liliana: "Why is that, sir?" [Narrator] She blinked her eyes twice in a row once again.
Father: "What, girl? What are you on about now? Who may you be talking to?" [Narrator] He seemed confused about something. What may it be? He let out a heavy sigh as he got up from bed.
Liliana: "What, father? You can't hear sir?" [Narrator] She anchored her head upwards just to look at his bearded face. She didn't understand how father couldn't hear nor see 'sir'.
Father: "Where is she? Same spot like the other times?" [Narrator] He walked around the little girl and went towards the door to go to her room.
Liliana: "Yesums, father sir, mommy is in the same spot like the other night and the other other night." [Narrator] She followed after him, her small pitter patters of her feet right behind father's heavy steps. The little girl kept her teddy up to her chest, its head flopped due to little fluff in the neck. "Are you going to scare her away again like the other night and the other other night?" The little kept her head up as her and father walked down the hall, passing the windows where not as much moonlight was shining through.
Father: "Mm.." [Narrator] He nodded his head slightly, his steps making the aching floorboards creak underneath him. Once they were at her bedroom, he opened the door with zero hesitation like he did this so many times (which he did). Humming was heard from the corner of the bedroom, right next to the window. He stepped into the darkness of the room, "wait out here, girl."
Liliana: "Will do." [Narrator] She nodded her head, standing right outside of her bedroom as she watched his father walk into the room. She could hear muffled singing that came from her room. "What now, sir?" She whispered softly, her eyes glued to the darkness of her room.
Narrator: You should wait like father had said.
Liliana: "Must I, sir?" [Narrator] Liliana tilted her head slightly to the side, hugging her weightless teddy bear up to her chest. "What's taking so long?" She grew anxious as she looked around the dark hallway and then looked back at the darkness in her bedroom. Standing out of her own room was not satisfactory.
Father: "Okay, girl, come on in." [Narrator] He said slowly, the light flickering on. For some reason, father wasn't in her room or in the hallway. Where has he gone?
Liliana: [Narrator] The little girl stepped into her room anxiously, Her knees clacking like that of a wind toy as she moved into her bedroom. "Father? Is mommy gone?" She peeked on the other side of the door and didn't see father there. "Father?" She stopped hugging her bear so tight, confused on how he disappeared just like that. She was told that the tooth fairy would disappear after being found out. Perhaps this was the same thing but it's father and not the tooth fairy.
Narrator: I don't like this one bit, Liliana, perhaps you should just go to sleep.
Liliana: "What must of happened to father, sir? Is he a tooth fairy?" [Narrator] She was completely dumbfounded, letting out a small puff of air as she clicked her tongue, "Old man shouldn't hide like the rest." Heavy footsteps against the creaking floorboards were heard from behind. The little girl turned around and saw mommy standing there in the doorway. "Mommy? Where is father?" She tilted her head as she looked up at mommy. Mommy wasn't her usual self, oh no she wasn't the same. She had a big awry smile on her face, her mouth slightly open while her eyes was bulging out of her sockets. She was quite scrawny tonight. "Mommy?"
{End Of "Mommy"}
