Chapter 3 - First Day At Work

                                     Camelia exited the office and Lily finally let out the breath which she herself didn't knew she was holding. "Why did I behaved in such a way?" Lily said to herself as she again concentrated on her work. "Miss Meera." Mrs. Camelia called. Meera stood up and walked to her. "Yes Ma'am." Meera said. "Congrats you have been selected." Mrs. Camelia said. "Thank you so much ma'am." Meera said happiness clearly visible on her face. "Come with me let's complete the further procedures and one more thing I wanted to ask is would you be able to join from today itself because I'm going to go on leave so if you would join early and understand all the work as early as possible I would be able to go on leave early." Mrs. Camelia said.

                                  "Sure Mrs. Camelia I would be glad to join from today onwards and don't worry I'll learn all the work as soon as possible so you can go on leave as early as possible." Meera said. After that they both went to complete the procedures. Lily got up from her seat and walked to the nearest shelf to pick up the file that she wanted. "Where is the file?" Lily murmured to herself as she looked at each and every file in the shelf. She walked back to her desk and called Mrs. Camelia. "Mrs. Camelia where is the new project file?" Lily said. "Miss. Lily it's with me I'll deliver it." Mrs.Camelia said as Lily hummed and ended the call.

                                  Soon there was a knock on the door as Lily gave permission to come in without looking who the person is. "Ma'am file." Meera said while placing the file. Only by hearing her voice Lily's breath hitched she started coughing hard. "Ma'am water." Meera said as she took the glass of water and took it near Lily's mouth she made her drink the water while patting her back. Lily was done with drinking water as she glanced at the nearness of her and Meera. "Thank you." Meera said as she placed the glass back on the table and Meera took a step back. Lily's heart was thumping so loudly. She feared that Meera might hear it. "Thank you for the file you can go back to your work." Lily said with a smile.

                                    "Ok ma'am." Meera said with a smile. "Oh my God this girl is going to kill me by her smile." Lily thought. Meera was about to leave when Lily stopped her. "Miss. Meera call me Miss. Lily as everyone calls me I'm used to it." Lily said. "Ok Miss. Lily." Meera said and then left. Again the same happened again her heart started beating fast by hearing her name being called by her. "Did I dig my own grave?" Lily said as she drank the whole glass of water. Meera went to Mrs. Camelia as they still had few documents to be signed by Meera and also some terms and conditions to be explained. "Mrs. Camelia can I ask you something?" Meera said. 

                                       "Yeah sure." Mrs. Camelia said. "You are how many months pregnant?" Meer said. "Almost 6 by the mid of the next month." Mrs. Camelia said with a smile. "But your belly looks so big for six months." Meera said with a questionable look. "Yeah I'm pregnant with twins." Mrs. Camelia said. "Ohh twins." Meera said. "Mrs. Camelia." Lily called as both of them looked at their back to see Lily standing at the entrance of the cabin. "Miss. Lily please come inside." Mrs. Camelia said as she was about to stand up from her seat. "Please sit Mrs. Camelia you don't need to get up. Actually I came to remind you that we have a meeting with Mr. Brown we should leave by now." Lily said.

                                          "Yes I remember I was about to call you once I was done with this work. Let's get going. Meera let's go." Mrs. Camelia said as she gathered the necessary stuffs and files that were needed. "Me?" Meera asked. "Yes you need to understand the work before Mrs.Camelia  goes on leave." Lily said. Meera nodded. After Mrs. Camelia was done with her stuffs all the three females exited the office. Lily pressed the elevator button and all the 3 got inside once the doors of the elevator were opened. Lily and Mrs. Camelia were both engrossed in their business talks as Meera was hearing to them with full concentration. 

                                            Soon all the 3 walked to the parking lot as Lily sat on the driver's seat. Mrs. Camelia sat on the passenger seat while Meera sat at the back. This whole time Meera's eyes were on Lily like how cool her personality was. The way she walked, the way she talked the way her aura was so dominant and then also she was such a soft spoken person to her employees. Lily didn't talked much just work related and nothing more. But this was the attractive thing about her. The way her cold eyes which were only soft towards Mrs. Camelia why Meera don't know but she noticed this. Lily had literally became like a role model for Meera now. 

                                        Lily started the engine as Meera looked forward only to see Lily looking towards her through the front mirror as soon as their eyes met Lily was fast enough to look at the front on the road. The ride was filled with only business talks of Mrs. Camelia and Miss. Lily. While Meera tried her best to concentrate on their talks and not on Lily and her driving which was so pleasing to her eyes. Soon they arrived at the destination and it was a huge luxurious hotel. Lily got down as Meera was still looking at the huge hotel being nervous of her dressing as when she glanced out all were wearing some costly clothes or either formal clothes like Mrs. Camelia and Lily were wearing.

                                            Meera was bought out of her thoughts when Lily closed the door and walked towards Camelia and opened the door for her and helped her to move out from the car. Meera was already out from the car as she took all the stuff that Camelia was carrying. Meera just got one more reason to be proud of her new boss. "If she was a boy she would have treated her girl so well." Meera thought.  All of them entered the hotel. They straight away went to the room that was booked for the meeting. Lily corrected her poster and her coat when the doors of the elevator opened. Meera was just staring at Lily's confident walk. The way her heels clicked so in sync. Today Meera just got her role model in Lily. 

                                           Soon all of walked towards the room and the staff opened the door door them. All of them entered inside as the opposite party was already present. "Good afternoon Miss. Lily." Mr. Brown said as they shook hands with each other. Meera was standing behind them. "Miss. Meera. Please come forward." Mrs. Camelia called her. Meera nodded and came and stood beside Mrs. Camelia. "Mr. Brown this is Miss. Meera new secretary of Miss. Lily." Mrs. Camelia introduced her. "Nice to meet you Miss. Meera." Mr. Brown said as he shook hands with Meera. The smirk and the touch made Meera uncomfortable. Lily noticed it.

                                            "Mr. Brown let's start the meeting." Lily said as he left Meera's hand and started the meeting. The meeting was soon completed and it was almost evening by now. "Congratulations Miss. Lily. I'm looking forward for working with you." Mr. Brown said as they shook hands, he also shook hands with Camelia and was about to shake hands with Meera when Lily interrupted him. "We shall leave now it's late." Lily said. Meera leave the breath that she was holding for long time. With that all of them left Lily made sure to not go with Mr. Brown and his staff as he didn't wanted him to make Meera more uncomfortable. 

                                              The office hours were almost ended and all of them were packing their stuffs to leave. Lily, Camelia and Meera reached the company and went to their respective offices. After gathering their stuffs they walked out of the cabin while Lily and Camelia walked down together. Camelia's husband was already present there to pick her up while Lily sat in the car and drove towards her home. But her car came to the halt when she saw Meera standing at the bus stop. She stopped the car and rolled down the window. "Miss. Meera please get inside. I'll drop you home."
