AUTHOR: This is my first book, and I must say it was an amazing journey, an amazing experience, and a wonderous ride. With time I grew attached to each and every character mentioned in the story. I dare to say these characters became a part of my life, my friends, and I hope they bring you the sense of mystery and adventure that they gave me. Hope you enjoyed!
"What do you mean?" His words caught me off guard, "It's about time he knows what is written in the last page Alissa." Ash turns his gaze towards Alissa. I feel lost, no one is sharing anything with me and whatever meds the hospital gave me certainly aren't making focusing with them any easier.
"Guys can someone include me?" I push myself off the hospital bed this time, "Someone tell me what is going on or else." I add, but Naya quickly interferes, "The last page included a location, and tomorrow is the due date."
"A location to what?" I ask.
"It seems like a transaction of some sort," Alissa says, looking at the others, "No one knows what or who is going to be there, but we must go." The room went quiet for a second until the doctor finally came in. "You're ready to go!" He says in an ecstatic tone.
I can't stop thinking about what might happen tomorrow. What is this whole thing about? Is Jeremiah really going to be there? "Hey," Ash taps me on the shoulder, "snap out of it, we will get him back." Is Ash being nice?
I turn to face him, "What has gotten into you baby," I say, "someone feeling a little nervous?" I expected a reaction, a push, a sarcastic comment, but all I got was a smile, "Yeah," He finally said, "I think I kind of am."

"Ezie," Alissa takes the blanket off of me, "It's time to go now." The sun wasn't up yet. I don't know whether it was too early in the morning or late at night, but all I know for sure is that I slept like a baby on meds and that's probably because I was.
Ash walked into the room wearing a black sweater and black shorts, "All of us ready?" He asks and scouts the room. "Are you expecting people to die Ash," I say, "a bit too black don't you think?"
"Well," He turns his gaze to the floor, "if the letters are true then it is suitable to dress well for the occasion." I don't understand what has gotten into him these two days. Ash is never like this, he never was even when we were younger.
"Okay!" Naya walks into the room with her cheerful tone as always, "Let's get going."
We walked for a good 30 minutes before we arrived. It was a long alleyway, an alleyway I didn't recognize, and based on Ash's face. I don't think he recognized it either.
"Where are we?" Alissa finally asks, "You're in fucking hell." We all looked at each other, and then we realized that it wasn't any of us speaking, but a voice from the end of the alley.
"You seriously are retarded people, aren't you?"
His voice was distorted, old, unclear, "Who on earth would step into a place knowing it will be the last time they take a step?"
I could feel the rest of them tense. I had to do something, "Who are you?" I yell across, but the voice doesn't reply. It simply laughed, a laugh that was mocking me, a laugh that got on my nerves, a laugh I never thought I'd hear again.
"You know who I am, you foolish boy," The voice finally steps into light, "and you know better than to speak so disrespectfully to your father." Abraham giggles.
"Wicked." Naya spits. I couldn't believe my eyes, Abraham looked old and wrinkly with burn marks all over his face. He had lost an eye, or at least some of it. His face was written with scars. His hair was whiter than snow.
