After thinking he was dead after he was captured by SS and SA men, I don't take his presence for granted. I remembered how I felt when I saw a woman with her arms around Daniel's neck and kissing him, I found out a couple of days later that the woman kissed Daniel, while Daniel pushed her straight away, although I was there when it happened, and I wasn't there to hear him scold her. I also found out that he was setting up a date for us which was why he wasn't at work.

December 23rd
Daniel was sitting at the dining table, a newspaper in front of him. I sat down next to me, slipping my heels off. "What's with that stern expression?" I asked.
Daniel sighed, "I writing a report on the pregnancies in Germany," he said, pushing the paper to me, "Read it, let me know if there is anything that I should change, you know more about it than I would," he almost ordered.I read over the report, pointing out the groups that were happening and asking to see any references he had like a report he got the information from or a transcript. "Yeah, I got it," he said, giving me some papers.
I read through them, comparing them to Daniel's report, "You have a few mistranslations, well, not exactly, it isn't how I'd translate it, but it still works," I muttered.
I opened my book bag and got out a pen, "Can I?" I asked.
Daniel nodded, "I've used a red pen, so you can use a black or blue pen," he explained.
I nodded and got a black pen and circled missed translations and added important information along with a few changes I felt were necessary.Daniel looked through it, looking at my notes, nodding, getting a red pen, talking to me before making changes. We managed to edit it and agreed on most things, "I should consult with you for reports more often," he chuckled with his sarcastic grin I love so much.
I smiled to myself, "Well, Daniel, it reminds me of how we met, not me having a knife to your back or being startled by a stranger in an ally, but working to bring the National Socialists (Nazis) to light, it's how we've bonded," I said.
I looked into his brown eyes, "It's what made me fall for you. Every time we do a report together I see a side of you that I don't see often, but I like it," I commented, kissing him quickly before getting my schoolwork out of my book bag.I could hear Daniel's sigh when I placed two textbooks on the table before grabbing my workbook, starting my schoolwork. "You had schoolwork to do?" he asked.
I nodded, "I don't have a lot of work," I commented, starting my work. I could hear Daniel gathering his papers before he started to cook dinner. Daniel had just placed dinner on the table as I finished my schoolwork. I put my books away and pushed them to the other end of the table.
The next day I started to make breakfast as Daniel came down, "Why are you still in your sleepwear?" he asked.
I sighed, "It's Christmas Eve, I don't have work or school, so I'm staying in my sleepwear for a while." I said, looking up at him who was wearing his robe over his undershirt and trousers, "I'm leaving for Oxford later, I'm spending Christmas with the Whitestones, sorry I didn't tell you sooner, we were just sorting things out," I added.Daniel nodded, "I'll join, after what happened with Colin last time you went, I don't want you to face his discrimination, he didn't let you listen to your reason," he said sternly.
I shook my head, "He's just being a 15-year-old boy who is interested in The Great War and only really knows the English side, and he knows Germany is a one-man country, full of National Socialists. I don't like his behaviour, but I can't do much," I said.Daniel nodded, "Let's just hope that Alfred and Julia gave him a good scolding," he commented.
I nodded in agreement, "I would hope so, but Alfred wouldn't do anything too rash," I said.
