'Naruto?" Sasuke looked around, finding himself near a waterfall. He looked at Naruto who lay beside him under the shade still asleep. He looked... young?
'Sasuke-kun!' That voice certainly belonged to Sakura but it sounded more pitched up and annoying.
'Oi Naruto Baka Wake up!, we need to practice again!'. Sakura yelled at Naruto. Sakura surely was the most annoying as a gennin.
But what were they even doing here and why was he a child again?
"You three need to..." Kakashi continued on with his explanation. But, Sasuke. was distracted looking at Naruto whose eyes seemed to sparkle with excitement.
Was he always this pretty?
Before he [Sasuke] had known the training was over. 'Do you guys want to eat ramen? My treat.' Kakashi asked. Sakura replied, 'My parents are waiting.' and walked in the other direction.
'What about you two?' He turned his head and asked the two younger boys. 'Sure' Naruto and Sasuke agreed, Naruto couldn't be more happy.
'Here are your orders' The old man handed one bowl to each of them.
'Itadakimasu' The three prayed before digging in. Naruto started eating under 1 millisecond of praying. 'Hiss!' Naruto burned his mouth from the hot noodles.
'Eat after it has cooled down Idiot' Sasuke handed him a water Sasuke displayed an annoyed face on outside while in reality he was worried. Had Naruto burned his mouth too severely?
Soon the three parted, Naruto and Sasuke walked together down the path.
'Say Sasuke, have you ever loved someone? As in romantically?" Naruto asked. Why this question that to so suddenly?
'Does it look like, Baka? Stop asking stupid questions.' Sasuke looked at Naruto. Naruto seemed down or was it his eyes playing a trick on him.
In the end all Sasuke received was silence. An uncomfortable one.
---------------
Sasuke reached his place but still thought about the previous scene. Maybe an illusion? Oh how badly he wished it wasn't.
The next day, it was supposed to be a free day and as Sakura had suggested they were to spend time together. Kakashi who considered it crucial agreed.
Sasuke reached upon the decided location only to find no one there. He walked to the nearest shade as he concluded waiting to be his only option. His eyes got a glimpse of familiar blond hair.
'Naruto?' He called. 'Oh.. Kakashi will not be here and so will Sakura. I don't know the reasons.' He informed looking anywhere but at the ravenette.
TH- 'Then would you like to hang out?' Sasuke asked maintaining his usual expression but he knew he was blushing, his cheeks felt too hot.
'Yes?'
'Would you like to hang out damnit!?'
'If you say so.' Maybe the two were just oblivious around each other, both were as red as cherries maybe even more if humanely possible. Naruto grinned at the other.
There it was the smile. Maybe it was a drug? Somehow it managed to cause blood to rush through his whole body.
And so the two spend the remaining day together. While unknown to the other Sasuke enjoyed every second of it.
'Sa- Sasuke.' Naruto breathed out, stuttering. 'Yeah?'
'So the, I mean yesterday when I asked if you like someone well, its because I have someone I love and It's Sa-'
'Sakura. I know, it's obvious.' Is this what heart break fills like? It hurt. How was he alive if several needles pierced through his heart?
'So-'
'Sasuke, Wait a minute- I was saying, Its you!' Naruto turned around huffing angrily. Sasuke stood there stone in flesh before realization. He held the retreating blond by his wrist. The two faced eachother with Sasuke still holding his wrist.
'Was it a prank?' The raven asked, eager about the truth.
'No! Why would I prank you on something like this?' Naruto answered, still infuriated with the coal haired.
