"A real proposal from a future king?!" Chocho was in disbelief. She knew about Naruto's intention of postponing her Queen's wedding. It frustrated them both.

"What did your mother say?" asked a concerned Sumire.

"I haven't told her yet." Sarada has been reluctant to inform her mother. She knows her mother all too well. She knows what her mother would say.

"Because you'd know she would press you to accept Kagura." Her best friend said honestly.

"And you're not ready to let Boruto go yet, correct?" Added Sumire.

Sarada removed her jewelry onto her vanity. "I'd be exchanging a man I...admire, to one I barely know."

Chocho pointed out, "But your concern should be for the cloud. With Kagura feelings may come over time. He sounds like a nice man to me."

Sarada grew frustrated, "I'm still trying to consider the proposal. I asked him to be discreet. I don't want to anger the King." She took a deep breath, "Come you two, help me find a suitable dress for tonight."

Sarada stood beside Boruto watching the others dance. On the other side, Kagura eyed her. She soon met his pink eyes and an uneasy feeling rose within her.

"You look lovely" whispered Boruto.

She reverted her attention to Boruto, "Is the king still refusing the men I need?"

Boruto gave her an apologetic look, "I pushed him as hard as I could"

With that sentence she knew what she had to do. Though it broke her heart, she couldn't show him the hurt on her face. "I know you've done your best thank you." She spoke quickly. She left the spot next to him vacant and headed towards the table her ladies were at.
She ignored him as he called out her name.

But Boruto wouldn't let her get away. Not when he knew something was wrong.

He walked over to her table and held out his hand, "A dance?" She wanted to refuse his offer, but with the entire table eyeing her, she had no choice but to accept.

"Sarada believe me, I've argued with my father all day. I've done more than argue. I've done everything I reasonably could do-

"Then maybe you should be unreasonable" She spat back.

In an instant their hands were separated by another.

"Excuse me, Ive asked the musicians to play music from my homeland. May I?"

Sarada looked at the prince with pink eyes. She was startled by the sudden interference.

Boruto was offended by his sudden interference. In the middle of their conversation, their dance, he dares to intervene? What kind of barn was he raised in? But he knew better than to cause a scene. He didn't want to risk the treaty with him and his father. So he simply allowed it.

Boruto retreated beside his brother. He was furious. Kawaki only showed an amused smile on his face. It seems his brother finally met his match.

They watched the two dance together, dominating the entire dance floor. No one knew how to dance to the music, so it only left the two alone to claim. Everyone watched the prince lead the Queen. It was a rather intimate dance.

Kagura dipped Sarada quickly. He trailed his hands from her finger tips to her shoulder. He was all over her.

Boruto shifted uncomfortably. Who was this bastard feeling up on his fiancé?
