Happy Harbor; September 7th; 7:00 EDT
"Wally?"
"Hmm?" He hums walking ahead of me swinging his right arm at his side, while his left holds on to his duffle bag, appearing to be happy.
We both had packed a bag before we left in case we needed to sleep away from the Mountain while looking for my parents. Wally mainly had his suit packed just in case. I just had extra clothes and the files on me.
We had just gotten into town and the first thing I wanted to do was find something on my parents. I wanted to find a place like a library with a computer that I could use to look them up. If not I would have to ask around.
"Do you even know where you're going?" I asked, I stopped on the sidewalk so we weren't walking and talking, and Wally would likely trip. Wally turned on his look to face me and huffed.
"No?" He put his hand under his chin close to his mouth like he was thinking. " What did you have in mind?" I let out a sigh and a laugh at Wally's antics before walking off again.
"I wanna find the Library to look up my parents, but just in case we could ask around?"
"You don't seem sure. What's bugging you?" He asks, walking ahead of me again only to turn around and start walking backwards.
"I-I'm just... nervous? I think?" I run my hand through my hair to push it out of my face. "Gosh! I don't even know why I asked you to join me. I don't even think I have the guts to talk to them if we even find them."
"Hey don't do that to yourself. You got this, all you have to do is rip off the bandage." I tilt my head and I think he realized I didn't understand what he was talking about. "I mean like... just, the moment you see them just say the first thing that comes to mind. And hey if you can't say anything, then I'll be there to get you out whenever, Okay?" I give him a slight nod.
I started to pull on my jacket sleeves and adjusting my backpack. It was mid Autumn so it wasn't exactly warm. I didn't notice that Wally stopped walking until he tapped my shoulder. I look at him and he points across the street to a small coffee shop.
"Do you wanna get food? It helps me clear my mind sometimes, maybe it will help you?"
"Sure! I'm always happy to get food."

"So how come you didn't want to go to school with Conner and Megan?" Wally asks in the seat across from me. We got our food and were just eating till Wally asked that question.
I shrugged one of my shoulders. " I-I don't think I'm ready to interact with other people yet. I think my confidence with and in others took a nosedive."
"Mhm. Just know that not everyone is out to get you. You've been cooped up in that place for years and just found out it was because of your parents. So I get that you don't want to trust the wrong people."
"... I just didn't expect so much to change in the little time I was gone, you know? I don't remember nor do I think I want to remember my past fully. I'm happy I get to make new memories with you guys, you helped so much, even when you didn't have to."
Wally gives me a big smile and a thumbs up. " We'll keep helping you too, like now."

Our journey to the library finally ended. We had asked a few on the way here where to go and also asking if they knew a Elliot and Ileana.
One man was helpful in the parent department, saying that he knew them but that they didn't live in town, but in the next one over. I mean it was better than nothing. Wally suggested that we look them up on social media as a way of getting a clearer picture of who and where they are.
Once we got in and went to a computer, I gave Wally the files and let him have it. I'm not exactly computer savvy, I just know the basics so Wally would be quicker to do this, also, speedster...need I say more.
While he was doing that I went to explore the library. I don't remember one so I wanted to look around and see what I could find.
This library was super organized, more organized than the one at the cave, every genre of book was categorized neatly to 1, 2, or more shelves depending on how many they have in. They had a rather decently sized sitting area that looked really cozy, but knowing me I would just sit on the floor and read instead of sitting on the comfortable chairs they provide.
I go to the sitting area and looked at everything they had over there, I skimmed through the brochures and smaller books they had laying around.
" Do you need help finding anything?" A heavy foreign* accent filled my ears.
I turn to see a middle aged woman who wasn't that tall, maybe average height, with a messy ponytail, wearing brown paints, black flats, and a floral shirt, and when I say floral, I mean flowers covering every inch in a splash of different colours.
"Um, no I just never been in here before so I was looking around. It's really nice though." I put down the brochure that I had picked up. It had a really cliche message scribbled on the front about mental health. I almost wanted to laugh.
People always said that therapists and other options of talking to people helped. But with me that never worked. Black Canary had wanted to do a session with me to determine how much I remember and if Cadmus did something to my mental state.
But I could never open up. I guess it was because I never had a voice at Cadmus, they told me what to do and I did it without a say. When I would try to talk to Canary my throat would just close up and I felt like I would cry, she most likely picked up on that and hasn't tried to get me to open up since.
"Your eyes are so pretty, I don't think I've seen bright eyes like those in a long time." She says, placing the palm of her hand under her chin looking partly up as if trying to remember a forgotten memory.
"Thank you... I really like your shirt." I say, not really knowing how to respond to her statement. I mean I did like the shirt, it was nice and complimented her brown eyes and dark hair. When I first saw my eyes I couldn't really look away, it was weird, they weren't in fact fully grey, they were a really light blue that appeared grey in almost every lighting.
" Hey Z! I found something come check this out!" I hear Wally call from a nearby bookshelf, gesturing me to come over.
"It was nice talking to you, but I got to go, bye!" I say turning on my heel to go and see what Wally has found."
"Hmm... now if only if I could remember who else had such pretty eyes... oh well."
