Warren lay on the couch, Nathan atop him. He combed through his soft, thin hair. Their breathing in sync. Across from them, a tv, playing their favorite movie. The same one they had watched when they first met. Obviously-- the conditions were different-- comparing then to now, but something else was also different. Instead of the unease the two experienced, an overwhelming, and resounding sense of fondness consumed both boys. Nathan never honestly believed in "true love". It seemed unrealistic to him.

Yet, on that couch, in Warrens arms, the idea that it could be possible crept up in his mind, unshakeable. He stared at the tv, not genuinely paying attention, but still extraordinarily present. He couldn't take any moment with Graham for granted.

Warren admired the person who lay just below his chin. He rested it on his head, gazing at Nathan's blonde hair, his face just out of sight. Warren recalled the freckles that adorned it, a result of sun exposure.. Nathan always loved the sun. Being outside was something that never failed to bring him joy.

The air around them was still and motionless. This was good. Nathan wished for this moment to be everlasting. If he had it his way, he'd live in this memory for eternity. He would be content with that. He knew Warren wouldn't agree-- contentedness was the one thing that prevents improvement. Things can always be better. Yet, Nathan still felt the way he did about that point in time.
