"What are they names?"
"Their names, my lady?" Alec asked, raising a brow at the woman who walked in front of her and brother as they flanked her at both sides. She walked with her head held high even in a castle that wasn't her own. But to Alec, it looked so very right.
"Your Kings." Anna said, lifting her crimson skirts as they walked up a stone staircase. "I will not walk in with no prior knowledge, an unknowing woman is a foolish one don't you think.
"I agree." Jane stated, glancing at her brother as they walked. "There is the King Aro, Marcus and Caius."
"They're of Grecian descent yes?" Anna asked, not even missing a beat as they turned the corner. How Anna knew the way to the throne room, the twins had no idea. It was as if this was already her home. Alec nodded and Anna hummed. "I was always fond of Greece, it was where Carlisle and I wanted to go next but then again I was never one for island life."
Something told the twins Anna would not be leaving Volterra any time soon.
"Have they no mate? I only as if they were from the times of Ancient Greece..." Anna began, furrowing her brow. "That sounds like a lonely and prolonged existence for one to endure."
"No, they have no mate, my lady." Alec said carefully. "I cannot speak for the Kings in terms of loneliness but they do not have a mate. That much I know."
"Hm." Anna hummed. "That much we have in common."
"Doctor Cullen is not your mate?" Alec asked curiously and Anna laughed lightly.
"More of an irritating brotherly figure than a mate I would say, darling." She said as they neared a set of large, ornate wooden doors which could only be a throne room with how they decorated. "My mate has yet to appear, perhaps they never will. I have made my peace with such hardship."
"I take it you are not a romantic, my lady?" Jane stated with some humour in her tone which Anna reciprocated.
"I have not yet been in love, Jane." The raven haired woman stated as they reached the doors, the twins finally overtaking her so as to open the doors. "I know very little of the thing, ask me the question again in a few hundred years, yes?"
"Of course, my lady." Jane said with a soft smile and with that, her and her brother opened the dark wooden doors.

The throne room had been mostly quiet as they awaited the twins return with Anna but Aro had been trying to keep a steady flow of conversation so none would notice how he practically shivered with anticipation.
As Carlisle answered one of his questions, Aro allowed his eyes to flick over towards his brothers who were doing far worse in terms of subtlety in comparison to him.
Caius was staring at the door, jaw clenched and eyes blazing with a ferocity and desperation Aro had never seen on the ruthless Kings face. Marcus was leant forward on his seat, his own eyes also latched on the door as his fingers tapped on the arm rests on his throne. Hope was in their eyes and their hearts were in their throat and Aro knew why.
They could all smell her. A heavenly scent of rose and sandalwood which it seemed only they could pick up on. She was close. So close. Closer than they had ever been.
Then the doors swung open.
And Aro's undead heart trembled.
She was a vision of pale skin, raven hair and piercing amber eyes. Her beauty was like the edge of a very sharp knife. Gods and those luminous golden eyes which stared into him like she could see every time he had ever sinned and forgiven him anyway. It was as though all hell ended with her eyes. No purgatory, not even paradise. Just her.
"Your majesties this is Anna Boleyn." Carlisle said, stepping forward to take his friends hand. He was seemingly unaware of the fact that Anna's pink lips had fallen into a little 'o' as realisation bled through her. He hadn't noticed how the Kings stared at her as though she was their own salvation. "My dear friend and-"
"Don't worry Carlisle." Anna said, her voice breathy as she attempted to regain it unable to pull her eyes from the three men staring back at her. "I can present myself."
"Of course." Carlisle said with a small smile, still blissfully unaware. Carlisle was the smartest man Anna had ever known and yet so awfully dimwitted at the same time.
"It 'tis a pleasure, your majesties." Anna stated, curtseying as she had been taught so many years ago. Pain burst through her at the memory. But then there was a hand on her own.
"It is our own pleasure, your grace." The dark haired man stated as Anna raised her head to meet his scarlet eyes. Anna furrowed her brow at that as she drew herself up to her full height.
"The time for that title was many years ago." Anna stated, hoping her voice did not shake at the resurgence of the title and the intensity of the mans gaze. "I am no longer a Queen."
"À mes yeux, tu es et tu seras toujours." ( in my eyes you are and always will be ) He said gently and Anna had to swallow at how he knew she could speak French. He was beautiful. She had never felt such a pull. "I am Aro Volturi and these are my brother, Caius and Marcus."
As Anna turned to the two thrones, she very quickly felt her breath catch as the pull intensified. It was overwhelming and she barely noticed her she had not released Aro's hand, much to his own delight as he supported her.
Both Caius and Marcus had stood and made their way over to them at that point as all the guards and Carlisle watched on quietly.
"It is lovely to meet you, cara mia." Marcus said softly, pressing a kiss to Anna's slender hand after taking it in his own.
"We have waited for you for so very long." Caius muttered, unable to tear his eyes from her from where he stood.
For once in Anna Boleyn's life, living or dead, she had no words.
Only three.
"As am I."
