The dawn of Quirks began with a newborn, nestled in the heart of Qingqing, radiating light from their tiny body. This extraordinary event marked the inception of a global phenomenon where individuals, far and wide, unveiled a dazzling array of unique abilities. The origins of this Quirk phenomenon remain shrouded in mystery, with theories suggesting a virus borne by mice as its potential catalyst. Remarkably, the Quirk's embrace now touches the lives of approximately 80% of the world's population.
In a world where monsters lurk, it's crucial to remember that even amidst the darkest shadows, a radiant sunrise promises to illuminate the horizon. My name is Natalie Haliwell, and within the pages of my tale lie the intricate threads of love, the clash of violence, and the promise of a second chance at life.
My father wielded a formidable power known as Vampirion, a Quirk akin to the legendary One For All. Its dark origins lay with the nefarious All For One, a villainous figure who bore two sons. The elder, Lucifer, possessed a kind heart and unmatched intellect, yearning for nothing more than to distance himself from his father's malevolent legacy. Like his uncle before him, he too carried the Quirk capable of transferring from one person to another, seeking refuge in his uncle's home where he grew, shielded from fear and dread.
Alucard, the younger son, was a stark contrast—a vicious, cruel, and sadistic monster. Even All For One himself harbored a measure of trepidation for this savage offspring, knowing that one day, Alucard would be the one to succeed him, though the timeline remained uncertain.
One fateful day, All For One came to call upon his brother, and in a ruthless act, forced upon him a Quirk, birthing the formidable One For All. But what All For One hadn't foreseen was the unexpected discovery of his supposed traitorous son, Lucifer, cowering in the confines of a bedroom gifted to him by his benevolent uncle. In a twisted turn of events, All For One chose to punish Lucifer by bestowing upon him a sinister Quirk. This Quirk held a grim condition—if Lucifer were to ever pass it on to another, it would not only strip him of his newfound abilities but also condemn him to perish within a mere five days.
As the dreaded fifth day descended upon him, the curse of Vampirion would claim its price, rendering him lifeless in an instant. This sinister Quirk bore a name as ominous as its consequences, encompassing a multitude of powers: Energy manipulation, Flight, Super Speed, Super Strength, Telepathy, Voice control, Regeneration, Animalistic Senses, Telekinesis, and Psychic Visions. It also manifested itself with four fangs, two on each set of canine teeth, and a captivating eye transformation.
I can't speak for the predecessors of Vampirion, but my father's eyes were a striking Electric Blue, and the whites of his eyes were pitch-black. I inherited this unique legacy with a twist, as my eyes were infused with a vibrant Electric Purple instead of the blue that adorned my father's gaze. Oh, and there was a peculiar aspect to my condition—when I listened to music, it manifested as crackling electricity dancing within my eye color. Present Mic, ever the enthusiast, took it upon himself to decipher the songs I listened to by observing the intricate dance of electricity in my eyes. But more on him and others in due course.
The enduring effects of Energy manipulation and Regeneration within Vampirion granted its user an exceptionally slow aging process. My father, when he eventually passed at the age of eighty-nine, still bore the appearance of a man in his early to mid-forties. His physical manifestation of power also extended to a magnificent pair of wings, which, in stark contrast to even the renowned pro-hero Hawks, were massive in scale. Grey and white feathers adorned his wings, with a striking black hue at the point where they attached to his back.
At the tender age of six, both my parents were established pro-heroes, but as most children do, I struggled to grasp the intricacies of their dual identities. They preferred to be addressed by their hero names in public, a concept I found rather baffling. My father held the coveted title of Australia's number one pro-hero, while my mother closely trailed as the second hero in the ranks. Interestingly, my father's roots traced back to Ireland, but upon receiving his Quirk from his master, he had immigrated to Australia. It was in this land that he crossed paths with my mother's father, who, at the time, was a young boy.
